So this is the power of de-politicization. Alienated workers can't even figure out that politics is philosophical in nature and not just about "calculating the most efficient solution". And even if it was, who would trust "artificial intelligence" manipulated by a - de facto - ruling governement?

If they can somehow implement open source solution & enable third party to verify its operation by publishing training sets & conclusion and what not, some transparency might be achievable.

Replacing current system in its entirety with AI will open up road to even deeper hellhole for sure but if it's implemented as supplementary thinktank/advice group, result could be interesting.

Economists keep trying to implement this stuff and guess what? Everyone end-up with their own different result (that suit their own needs/philosophy).
The ruling class would never implement policies "calculated", even by a "neutral" or "open source" AI which could put them at disadvandage.

AI is not as advanced as people think.

It's just hypothetical

Being open source does not make it automatically neutral, but at least you will be able to call out their bias.

Besides, I was thinking more about deep learning AI that would construct their own model with minimal if at all guidance from outside. This is not perfect but ensuring unbiased dataset should be probable. I think we might even need to push AI overlord meme as our next praxis to demand transparency.
