How Socialists Can Win Over the Working Class
Editorial for issue 14 of Socialist Revolution. Today, there is a veritable “super bloom” of self-identified socialists. It is more important than ever that we understand the difference between opportunism and sectarianism. As the crisis of US capitalism deepens, it seems we are in perpetual election mode as the ruling class desperately seeks the next gimmick to keep the simmering discontent within manageable limits. In the absence of a mass working-class alternative, the vacuum on the left is being filled in the most wild and distorted ways through the main parties of the ruling class. Hoping for a “gimme” crack at what they think will be easy pickings in 2020, the Democrats have presented their most superficially diverse field ever: from Bernie to Booker to Beto to Buttigieg and probably Biden; from Kamala to Warren to Gillibrand and Gabbard—and maybe even Oprah.

Olympia, WA: Displacement in the Name of Safety
Report from the Olympia, WA chapter of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) about continued attacks on the houseless community in the context of the continued push of gentrification and development. After a long pause in enforcement against camping, the City of Olympia is resuming the practice of sweeping encampments on public property, particularly those which are most visible and near downtown. The city originally halted its practice of sweeps in September, after the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals determined that it is unconstitutional to criminalize people for performing life sustaining activities, like sleeping and resting, on public property when they have no other legal alternatives (Martin vs Boise). When enforcement against camping in public was first paused, homeless advocates had questioned whether the city was pausing the sweeps in order to genuinely pursue more just and compassionate alternatives or simply to use the time to find a way for the city to return to “business as usual,” without exposing themselves to the same legal risk.

Big if True, extradition to the US and being tried for espionage would follow

Haven't they been saying this for a while now?

only rumors from other sources
this is the first time Wikileaks has actually said it

I doubt extradition will occur, his crime in Britain is a very minor one (ignoring a court summons) and I doubt he could even be put under incarceration for it.

Rightwingers are shameless !

DoJ has been prepping a case and list of things to throw at him in American courts since October of last year

Trump may pardon him. He wouldn't be President without Wikileaks. Of course, he might get fucked 10 times harder than if by Clinton because Trump wants to seperate himself from the controversy. Mueller's Team has already started to complain that Barr's 4 page summary is inaccurate. So Trump ain't out of the political waters there, and doesn't want to look involved with Wikileaks. It could go either way, but Trump will have to pardon Manafort, Roger Stone and Michael Flynn before he pardons Julian Assange.
