Recently I was reading some articles online about the history of human sacrifice. It turns out there was some pretty disturbing shit going on there, which I'm sure you can imagine. Anyway, as a lefty, there was one particular thing in all the examples of human sacrifice that really got to me. Apparently in the classical meditteranean world it was pretty common for rulers to have their servants executed when they died, so they could serve them in the afterlife.
Anyway, ancient sources are pretty much all hearsay, and it's possible that these stories are overblown. But later I started reading about Elizabeth Bathory, the Medieval noblewoman who killed something like 650 young girls to drink their blood, thinking it would give her eternal Youth or whatever. This is actually well documented and it follows pretty much the same logic as the ancient sacrifice shit I described earlier.
This got me thinking that capitalists/ruling classes in general have some kind of sick fetish about 'consuming' people for their own advancement, which they do indirectly through the exploitation of labor, but which in the most extreme forms and without constant social advocacy against them them can turn into literally wanting to murder people and drink their blood "to have eternal life." I know this sounds crazy and I'm not saying it actually goes on, but remember it happened in the past and we live in the era of smartphones and cameras, there are a lot more incentives for the ruling classes to not be totally horrifying than in ages past.
I genuinely worry about the possibility that many of the modern capitalists have 'flesh eating' complex and that an unceasing several hundred year project of left wing advocacy is the only thing keeping them in check. Am I being too paranoid here or is there something to this?
Lol. I mean, even if this was an actual thing bourgeois could some day get into, how is it worse than getting nuked or raped and tortured by soldiers? Sounds like you have a bit of a "flesh eating complex" yourself my dude.
It was proven drinking young blood doesn't do shit tho, they are wasting money on useless shit
Adam Nelson
They don't drink it, but I have no idea if young blood transfusions do anything either.
Cooper Hill
It obviously does nothing, but that won't stop them from trying. There have been stupider "life extension" scheme's in the past.

Blood, sex, and chaos magicks. The Left-Hand Path and access to information about Alchemy that has now been lost or destroyed. That Bohemian Grove shit isn't just for funnin' you know… There are ways to get life that extends past 100 years or more, but it's kind of what you would expect (you'll still be a cryptkeeper of a lich.) As for the gene-therapy and technology they keep just for themselves, well I suppose that's why things have gotten so bizarre as of late.
Colton Scott
So you're perfectly aware of the right-wing's tendency to LARP, to base their world-view's on lies, spew feels>reals shit, and think their ruling-class is pulling a massive prank? That they're all materialists like you and me, and are not into mysticism and esotericism?
Hawt. But how the fuck did she not die of aids, or a similar disease?
Bentley Robinson
Hammer made a salacious (but very good) film about her.
Tbh, modern cinema's treatment of vampires (who are obvious representations of parasitic elites) is quite depressing in what it says about class politics. Vampires in film aren't very prevalent at the moment, and the ones we do have are often portrayed sympathetically. The real monsters of the day are zombies (representing fear of the mob and common people).
They didn't have AIDs back then, I wouldn't be surprised if she got some kind of STD that makes you insane though.
Blake Jones
Yeah vampires were pretty cool before twilight and before I found out what the bourgeoisie was. Zombies however are only cool in Romero movies, and even then they're a little trite.
Great. Capitalist gave us AIDs and made vampires uncool. They're was a thread here a couple weeks back about how colonialism in Africa lead to AIDs.
Isaac Anderson
excellent imagery combining vampires and cannibalism to refer to exploitation
but realistically, no, class society is not based on "some flesh eating complex" because class society is not based in biology. Also consider that going around murdering girls to drink their blood isn't a particularly effective survival strategy. Historically speaking people were petty quick when it came to liquidating "evil spirits"
That said there is a recurring theme in rulers circles to seek out immortality and also a willingness to sacrifice people for petty personal goals. But whether these tendencies are connected is questionable. If you think you have an insight into what drives rulers, may i suggest you use it to scam them out of their wealth and start funding socialist projects
Thomas Torres
Thank god Christianity put a complete stop to that barbaric tradition.
Jacob Roberts
It's not. Cool because its not. Yes. The closest thing to this is a startup called ambrosia that used to transfer young people blood into rich porkies.
Adrian Miller
human sacrifices of landlords tbh

Gonorrhea existed though. As did tuberculosis, the black plague, etc.

Aliester Crowley was a British occultist of the early 20th century. He molested boys and women, drank their blood, and had contact with "ETs" (actually demons).
Most of our rock artists from the 60s and 70s were inspired by this degenerate.
Then, you had in Meso-American societies, they would sacrifice their kids to appease the gods.
In the Bible, Canaanites worshipped Moloch, a stone statue oven of an owl that they roasted infant flesh in.
David Kelly
Meso-American societies were based central planners though, and the biggest perpetrators of sacrificial violence were the Aztecs, who were arguably the "Capitalists" of the Americas, behind the Mayas who were "SocDems" and the Incas who were bona-fide religious Communists. Guess who sacrificed the least amount of people out of all three? That's right, it was the Incan people.
