I distributed all the flyers, debated with people who saw our Lenin flag, most people were really friendly, generally the rule was old people and non-whites people liked our shit, white millenials didn't and treated us as some exotic remnant from the Cold War, I meet some hard-core neolib who called me a red.fascist and said we were paid by Putin, and also a Polish guy who gave me a rant about muh gorillions. A landlord told me that he prefers communists over SocDems for some weird reason. Anarchokidides were peaceful, they just sat on the ground and got drunk. Union guy called the cops on us because we didn't register the megaphone.
All in all, it was okay. You can't really convince people I think at these events, but at least it shows the public that communists are still around.

Also, I'd like to say that people are by far not as anti-communist and reactionary as it feels on the internet. I encourage everybody to go out there and organise. People are open to these kind of ideas. Sometimes on spaces like Reddit and other social media you might get the impression that everybody is a liberal/conservative who'd prefer fascism over communism. This isn't true. Working people fucking hate fascists, and like communists. You just need to get out there.
Oh and Maoists took down an anti-imperialism poster that said "hands off Venezuela" because they said it is "authoritarian state-capitalism" and they "called us out on it" by basically standing in front of us. At this point I'm not even sure if Maotists are cops.

Well considering Mayday is a british holiday going back to pre-Roman times, it's hard to make it about workers. Also since the May Bank Holiday (which is on the first monday of May, which is when the actual festival is for the European autists celebrating it today) there was never a major demand for it by trade unions. Still in recent years there have been moves to make it more of a thing, and I would put money that a secret policy of a Corbyn gov would be to make it one.

I'm guessing your danish? We could've used some of you. The cops where pretty aggressive and apprehended a lot of antifascists during the lull during NMR's speeches, smashed people's phones etc. I'm guessing they thought they'd apprehended all the 'troublemakers'–they where wrong and had a really hard time controlling the demo on their way back to the busses. The nazis where hit with sveral bangers/fireworks and we almost managed to block them.
