The source for this being a conspiracy started by the commies is the Mitrokhin Archive. But people already knew about MKNAOMI and Fort Detrick by the time the AIDS scare happened and could have easily guessed. NYC and San Diego were two favorite bioweapon testing areas since the late 40s and onwards which went wrong and resulted in several deaths.

What if the "Operation Infektion" files are a forgery? The Mitrokhin Archive seems to be selectively showing things that make the commies look bad but am I really supposed to believe the disclosures weren't "sanitized" and removed anything like "It was the KGBs belief that The West run by a committee called The 40 who blackmailed pedophiles and marshalled them into the CIA, politics and journalism to maintain control"? You know, factual but anti-western stuff like that?

Ebola appeared during the Cold War too. But HIV/AIDS was particularly odd.

During McCarthyism there was a big thing about homosexuals being a national security risk and a tendency to become double agents. What if this was cooked up as a gay removal weapon in the 50s and leaked out years later. It does affect gay men disproportionately even if that's not PC.

HIV/AIDS was created because of Belgian Colonialism. Essentially King Leopold fucked up the agriculture in Congo so badly that slaves & workers there were forced to start eating bushmeat; over time the disease transferred. At least that's how one story goes. There was even a thread about it here recently.

It affects Gay Men disproportionately mainly just because transmission is easier through unprotected anal sex and the time where the epidemic happened there was less casual unprotected heterosexual sex. If AIDS emerged now I'd imagine it'd be a much bigger crisis among Heterosexuals simply because there are so many more of them, and ofc the problem would have been addressed immediately. The biggest factor involved in the AIDS crisis was essentially that Homosexuals were already stigmatized into a higher rate of subcultural behaviour. A lot of these men lived closeted lifestyles, you combine that with the taboo of AIDS not only could it ruin you to come out but the reality is that there just never was any support for these people which made the problem so much worse. Something I notice a lot of people never bringing up is the frequency of AIDS amongst prison populations despite the fact that it has a much higher incidence of risk than even during the crisis itself as far as I'm aware, which makes sense for a multitude of reasons. I'd imagine that prisoners are given treatment now though, after all, porky has to maintain his slaves.

It's possible that it could be some kind of grand conspiracy, and there certainly are conspiratorial tones in the abscence of information, so I think it's correct to be suspicious of it, given the history we know about US chemical warfare & development. The one that still shocks me now is the fact that the US recruited Japanese War Criminals to reverse engineer the Black Death and then used it in the Korean War.

IIRC the reason it disproportionately infects blacks is because Africans were not affected by the Black Death to the same extent as Eurasians (particularly Europeans).

Apparently, the diseases effect the immune system in a similar way. A small percentage of Euro descendant people are actually immune to aids altogether bc of this.

But it can't transfer orally, the stomach kills the virus before it enters the host. It did affect heterosexuals a lot through blood transfusions since contaminated blood was regularly used in such transfusions. Wasn't it due to a few corrupt Belgians raping a bunch of the local population that they also forced to have sex with animals? Though one can wonder why the disease appeared so late in human history considering some civilizations have used bestiality as a form of punishment to girls in the past.

Homosexual are more promiscuous, men naturally due to higher testosterone seek out more partners and are more inclined to indulge in risky sexual behavior. There's little reason for men to use condoms except to prevent diseases. HIV is much less worse in modern day though where medicine repressed the virus. Though I don't think the long term use of that medication is very positive on the liver, or other organs. Some of the potential cures show a lot of promise and maybe by 2030 we'll have a cure.

Those conditions include very promiscuous sex and having other infections. The reason it turned into HIV under Belgian rule was that the Belgians raped tons of African women to death.

studies have shown that thanks to the Black Death of the Medieval Era 10% of white people are HIV resistant…..which honestly kinda confuses me given

a) HIV and its predecessor SIV (simian immune deficiency) along with all closely related viruses were safely locked in the depths of Africa's gnarliest jungles until the Belgians went on their Rubber-n-Maiming spree back in the late 19th century
b) Bubonic Plague is a fucking bacteria and thus should have zero fucking impact on virus resistance
c) China and the Middle East were almost equally badly hit by the Bubonic Plague during this same era (thanks to the Mongol Empire which was the primary international spreader of the plague before it hit europe via traders fleeing the city of Kaffa where the Mongols were besieging and throwing plague corpses into the city to weaken them) and dont seem to have picked up this resistance
