So I, like many people on here I'm sure, am diagnosed with Aspergers.
I'd say it's more than just different personality traits and behaviors, I've seen low functioning people who aren't even capable of speech, and I myself had to struggle to at least give the appearance of being normal. I deal with a great deal of anxiety over my condition and given the chance for treatment to emerge to make me "normal" I would happily take it.
It's really understating just how much of an impact this condition has in a person's life when you boil it down to just a set of personality traits. I want to be normal, I've tried my hardest to learn to act normal, but I'm well aware I'm not normal.
