The problem with the meme as a format is that it's reactive. Well, it works for fascism because fascism is a compulsive, reactive force – not a set of principles or even a coherent ideological agenda. The meme functions like a commodity in a sense that inhibits independent thought; it is endlessly mass produced and so on. The goal of the left is to break out of commodity form as a structuring force in terms of what it does. I don't think we should be trying to recruit people online like Zig Forums does. While the alt-right might have a big influence on the internet, it's kind of fucking useless when you think about it. You can't incite a revolution from the internet, and most of the people who would actually become indoctrinated by fascist ideology probably would buckle under the pressure of having a debate in real life, that is if they're even able to debate. They can have their echo-chamber of the internet, but they probably don't realize that they won't get anywhere unless they spread their ideas in the real world. Not only are their ideals heavily misunderstood and misrepresented, if they try to explain these ideals they'll always get called out for what they really are, of course they'll go back to their forums and laugh at how stupid the liberals and "normies" are, but again what good is that.

What I'm trying to say is that, it's very hard for the Alt-Right to organise in real life, it's significantly easier for leftists.
