I thought this was strictly a burger problem. Are unions anywhere these days really so rotten?

Wtf? Detroit is 80% black.

It's a universal problem. Unions tend to bureaucratize and become a de facto arm of the state. They become increasingly bureaucratic and the bureaucratic class of the union has interests that differ from its base.

Wonder how the Iranian government will react when they are forced to proceed with the enrichment; there was another report linked here a while back which detailed Israel's actions in response to Syria starting its own reactor program a while back, which was to simply blow it up.

Iran will become a nuclear armed power, then in reaction Saudi-Arabia will start developing a nuclear program and will succeed and because another nuclear armed power. From their a nuclear war between Iran and Saudi Arabia is likely.

Trump Can’t Stop Jeremy Corbyn
I don’t see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its own people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves.”Henry Kissinger pronounced these words at a June 1970 meeting of the CIA’s 40 Committee, which spent up to $6.5 million trying to turn that fall’s Chilean election against socialist Salvador Allende. It didn’t work, and Allende won anyway, so the CIA began working to remove him through strikes, internal subversion and ultimately, military force. The United Kingdom isn’t about to suffer a coup. But it seems that the week after Donald Trump made his state visit to London, our countries’ “special relationship” doesn’t include much respect for British democracy. When Trump picked out Boris Johnson as his favored candidate to succeed Theresa May, at least he’d been asked to do it. In fact, the Tory leadership candidates were positively queuing up to seek the Donald’s support, as they tried to appeal to their party’s hard-right base. But this weekend Secretary of State Mike Pompeo went much further. In private remarks recorded by the Washington Post, he insisted that the irresponsibility of the British voters couldn’t be allowed to bring Jeremy Corbyn into office: the issues are just too important. Corbyn’s record of opposition to US militarism as well as his challenge to the power of the wealthiest Brits just aren’t acceptable to Washington. The Secretary of State didn’t directly reference all that, of course. It’s important to keep up appearances. Instead, Pompeo’s remarks drew on the latest round of spurious complaints that the Labour leader is an antisemite, who apparently risks heading what one Tory minister called the West’s first Jew-hating government since 1945.

"You picked a fight with the state, we will grind you into dust". How a Russian activist was tortured
The “network case” – an investigation into alleged terrorism by Russian anarchists and anti-fascists, during which security service officers have repeatedly tortured detainees – has gone to trial. Hearings are taking place in Penza and St Petersburg. Dmitry Pchelintsev, one of the defendants, gave testimony in court about how he was tortured. An edited translation is published here.[i]The “network case” investigation began in 2017. Officers of the Federal Security Services (FSB) claim that twelve young men were part of an organisation called “the network” – a “terrorist group” that allegedly planned to “stir up the population in order to destabilise political conditions” in Russia via a series of terrorist attacks. The FSB claims that “the network” had cells operating in cities across Russia and Belarus.Pchelintsev’s testimony about torture is not the first. Other defendants in the case have repeatedly stated that they were tortured (e.g. here and here) into confessing to charges.Pchelintsev, 27, lives in Penza in central Russia. He is charged with creating “the network”; illegal possession of weapons; and an attempted arson attack against a local military office.

Saudis already have nukes, part of the deal when they assisted the Pakis with bankrolling their program a few decades ago
The Qataris also have a single warhead they snagged during the collapse of the USSR, unknown if they have a delivery device though. If yes, then it's probably permanently pointed at Riyadh

The problem isn't bureaucratization as such – which is a necessity – but state and corporate corruption of the unions. You literally can not have socialism without a highly developed bureaucracy, so you better learn to deal with it.

Attached: Neo-Nazi-Detroit.jpg (1216x912 82.84 KB, 70.68K)

Corporate corruption requires a bureaucracy that the corporation can negotiate with and then impose the settlement on the workers. Over decades it will form a class of its own with its own interests more aligned with keeping the status quo with corporations or even working in the corporations interests and taking former corporate employees. This is common in Japan for example.
Bureaucracy doesn't have to be a bad thing by any means. I dont think a grassroots Union has proven sustainable or long lasting so the proper structures havent been found yet or it will never work
Anyway the worldwide limits of unionism shows why they are not sufficient for revolution and thats in line with Lenin hat spirit

What requires a bureaucracy is a class organ (in this case, the union) that deals with thousands if not tens or hundreds of thousands of members. I reiterate my point: you can not go around this simple necessity. You need people dealing in full time with the every day issues arising from such numbers.

When you claim that
you are intentionally mixing up cause, effect, and possible outcome(s). Due to the fact that not everyone can be at all times 'there' (at negotiations, at protests, at meetings) representational politics becomes an absolute necessity, a precondition to politics, even.

Shove your non-Marxist definition of class up your ass, okay?

And I'm not even that fond of unions to begin with. I just hate your ridiculous, obfuscating kind.

I already agreed
Explain how then. I just gave you an example of Japanese corporations and their close relationships with Union officials. Generally, Unions are incorporated into the legal system where they get bogged down in legal minutiae to the benefit of the state and the corporations. This is why Roosevelt created the labour relations board in the New Deal. Institutionalizing (and bureaucratization) Unions was a step toward subordinating and taming them. This is not controversial this is just historical fact.
The next sentence is just repeating what you said before.
It doesn’t matter what I call it. Call it a caste, a social group, a clique, the principle is the same. How about you address the point instead of shitting out vitriol?
On the contrary, you are the ridiculous one with your intellectual posturing

marxists.org/glossary/terms/c/l.htm

Im not an idiot. I know class is a category central to marxism defined in a specific way. It still doesn't mean i have to adhere to that definition rigidly. The gist was of two separate groups within an organization with divergent interests. This is a function of their different positions in the structure of the said organization. It has nothing to do with means of production. I imagine you'll say something blatantly obviously like “there is only proletariats and bourgeoisie and they have opposite interests”. But clearly the divergent interests do not translate into class struggle at this point in time nor do they prevent divisive interests that splinter the proles into looking out for the interest of their subgroup over others.

All I'm hearing is "I'm not a Marxist" and "I'll use my own special snowflake terms whenever and however I want, MOM!"

Nah, you're just fag who cares more about pedantry than arguing the main point. This is typical of leftypol where patronizing cunts like you think since their knowledge of specialized words gives them the right to get away with anything

10/10

It has a specialized meaning in Marxism. What an obtuse brainlet you are. Your little Sage is cute too in how it reeks of passive aggressiveness

Based.

Jesus Christ, give it a rest

fuck off retard. if you cant agree on some basic as fuck word meaning, youre useless. for language to even work we need shared meaning.

oh also
are you a retard from pol or what

fuck yeah, thats what im talking about
sk unions look like shit, lets hope they general strike too and end up merging with nk (nice dream i know)

This isnt a debate about semantics, as hard as youre trying to make it so. Youre just derailing the topic because youre emotionally wedded to pedantry or you have no argument to offer concerning my point about unions.
And yes brainlets class has a particular specialized (technical) meaning in Marxism that differs from general usage. But lets continue to regress into endless semantic debates to make up for your lack of interest in staying on topic!
