They're all fucking ban happy, the subs ban words like "dumb" and "insane", on subs like this utter piece of shit they ban you for any form of disagreement whatsoever.
I asked a question on 101 about environmental disaster playing a role in the evolution of productive forces and these fucking book worshipping armchairs banned me for disagreeing that class struggle is the only thing that moves history and that external contradiction also plays a large roles. And then when I disputed it these thin-skinned rats instantly muted me like they do to everyone.
These fucking retarded lemmings seem to know jack fuck about the ways environmental conditions spelled the end for social systems that couldn't adapt to them.
I hate these armchairs so fucking much, they deserve to have their fingers broken, fucking LARPing dorks
Basically socioeconomic systems die when their function creates/encounters environmental crises they cant solve due to how they work.
For Rome this was the devastation of Rome's forests, the plagues, and the Mini Ice Age. For the Bronze Age it was similar levels of deforestation causing desertification. For feudal Europe it was plague, deforestation, and famine.
Sebastian Long
And? How does that help with the current era?
Nicholas Evans
I don't see how that helps. People learn to not kill the dodo after it is already killed? People who know in advance don't want that possibility.
Anthony Phillips
Because that's exactly what's going on currently??
Ian Howard
You point out that everyone will die in the future. That doesn't help anyone now who would rather the scum die only.
Parker Collins
Um, no? I said that climate change and the Sixth Mass Extinction will end capitalism, not that it will end humanity. Just as environmental conditions Rome's economy couldn't handle and the failure of the slaves to successfully revolt allowed scores of northerners to sweep through ending the civilization. Just as feudal Europe couldn't stop itself from exhausting its forests and soil leading to harsh winters, famine, and the loss of readily available coal.
Dominic Miller
You mention this without getting the point. Ask yourself how I knew to mention the dodo there, without any indication from you before that. The point, slow poke, is that you humanists are a problem. You talk about the mass extincition like it's going to be all ok after that, when it's not. Everyone following this would have wanted to prevent it earlier. Literally no one wants a mass extinction so that humanists can pat themselves and their selfishness on the back.
Nicholas Hernandez
You think I desire this shit? I love animals and nature, I love them infinitely more than dogshit humans, to know that I'll watch 1/8 of all species go extinct and see vast swathes of humanity join them cuts to my fucking soul.
The reality is that the process may well be unstoppable at this point, there's nothing to be gained from denying reality, and considering it is indeed REALITY what's paramount is to compare our moment to past collapses of civilization and prepare for what's necessary to ensure humans survive and that socialism rises from the ashes to ensure this horror never occurs again.
Levi Thompson
it's not unstoppable. if the lower class mobilised we could get somewhere. militias need to be on every street.
Anthony Phillips
Okay, so in a hypothetical reality where the left was able to stage a successful revolution essentially tomorrow it is beatable. Here in reality, however, the left isnt even ready to engage in electoral charades, much less fight a war.
Robert Lewis
Do you have anything to back up your claim that these were leading contributors in the fall of Rome and the feudal structure? I've never heard these mentioned in that context before.
Jacob Taylor
This is the future the mods want for leftypol and the present they try to maintain
John Green

Jayden Gutierrez
Come to Tampa and say that to my face, pussy.
Brandon Davis
This is somewhat right. Utopian "Marxist" aren't something one would need a lamp to find at night. Go on reddit or youtube and you find plenty of people who think after capitalism is ended every problem of the world dissappears, everything will be free and so on. What's worse is when they apply the "great men" theory to history in which people "betray" socialism or it's not real socialism because of x. Mein got, that's not Marxism or materialism.
Those subreddits are filled with the filth who LARP as leftists, much like many on this board who think that Marxist materialism is just determinism with historical characteristics (though some here do have a fucking clue about what they're talking about and also have an wide-ranging grasp of historical events and evidence). You would do better to look in the direction of critical theory subreddits. Beyond that, there are only Zuccbook groups full of philosophy students and a few arcane discussion groups.
James Baker
r/communism and r/communism101 mods are fucking retards. They are very banhappy and also will mute you when you will try to repeal the ban
Aiden Morris
I've seen one of the mods there bragging in another forum about banning people just for the fun of it.
Jace Sanchez
Might do the same thing, honestly. But Reddit sucks.
Jason Thomas
Well environmental disaster in the past meant earth quakes, storms vulcanos etc. there isn't much evidence that this has caused changes in modes of production. If you expand the definition and take into account ancient civilisations exhausting some environmental resource, well maybe.
Cooper Russell
I honestly don't even know what that's supposed to mean.
