What are the best countr(ies) that we shall start our Communist revolution in?
The areas in blue are fucked.(western_world.jpg)
Other urls found in this thread:
Britain is slowly building towards it, if we normalise even softer left being in power then we can inch closer towards socialism without the reactionaries even noticing
Wait why is baltics, finland, and poland counted as "western world"???
Stop being a bunch of special fuckin snowflakes and accept your western position in the world
Unironically many European and Latin American countries have more revolutionary potential than the east(with few exceptions of course)
t. lived my first 23 years in Asia
They are worse.

he is not wrong though, porky is very much class conscious and is always waging class war
so he's only just noticed the material conditions we've had for the past 50 year at least. terrific.
South America, maybe.
Western Europe tbh
It has to happen in America or socialism will fail everywhere else.
America is reactionary as fuck and scared of communism anywhere.
even with the rise of right wing parties everywhere? I dunno, man.
consider that they're good at making a lot of noise and some attention grabbing PR, but how much are they actucally doing politically.
They have largely achieved their supposed goal of curbing immigartion even without being in government. They are also legitimzing themselves after having largely had terrible PR due to WW2.
Agreed IMO, in this day and age straight up violent revolution is unrealistic, if communism comes at all it will come as part of a velvet revolution/mass strike in a relatively left sympathising country where the government is forced to step down - or more likely a crypto-leftist like Corbyn gets elected who ushers in a populist uprising with the semi consent of the government.
Sure, that feels like a long shot, but it's the best chance IMO.

This also seems most likely to me. I think even relatively small threats of violence by the population are enough to bring down a western government. They aren't built for overt repression. The police aren't willing to engage in it. (outside of American cops with black people etc.)
There will be real outburst of violence by reactionary forces though, and people will need to organise/use the state to fight back against those. Rich people aren't going to hand over their stuff without a fight.
The world is fucking doomed if I have to wait for you firstoids to solve your eternal race and gender autism and start a revolution lmao. Reminder that all successful ML revolutions have been in backwards underdeveloped countries and not in USA or Western Europe.
And surprise, surprise, they weren't capable of attaining socialism because their means of production were too underdeveloped. Just leave it to us first worlders like Marx fucking said, ok sweatie? We'll get there when the time is right.
EU govts could carry out land reform, and end exploitation if it wanted to. If it did this and took an anti-imperialist stance, as much as possible, the workers would still gain from socialism in the net despite the move away from imperialism..
My point is that the purpose of imperialism is to increase the profits of capitalists. Yes, European workers have benefited from Social Democratic programmes based on the superprofits of Imperialism, but if there is no capitalism in Western countries, then there is no necessity for superprofits.
The benefit in real terms of ending exploitation within the EU outweighs the loss of ending imperialism. So to say that the West has no revolutionary potential is absurd.
If you read the above and think "you can't have socialism in one country, you need international revolution" then how do you expect that to occur without the largest economies in the world? IF you are a good Marxist-Leninist you understand different material conditions call for different strategies. Mao himself argued that developed nations can only pursue a legalistic or reformist path, while the underdeveloped nations can only pursue armed struggle.. The process of the unification of these paths is world revolution.
Dismissing Western countries as having no revolutionary potential is so counter-productive. Yes, it's much easier to enjoy the comfort of the armchair, and yes western communism is unglamorous. What we can do is prepare the social conditions for socialism; organise, and raise consciousness. We're not going to be marching down the streets with rifles behind Phil Greaves.
So we can "start" the communist revolution everywhere. But each country and set of real conditions requires a different strategy.
How's that working out for ya?
Anyone think there is any hope for Australia? I'm a little pessimistic…
They are just a US military base against China.
How reassuring… Donald Dump on one side, and social credit surveillance state on the other…
You trust the current generation of western politicians enough to create a social credit system in the west!?
I'm not saying it will be used for good, they will outsource it to their friends in the private sector anyway. It already exists for credit.
Iirc they even check you facebook friends, so you can get a better score by unfriending poor ones
It already exists for credit, so we should accept it expanding into other aspects of our lives? You know we will be the ones with the low scores, right? We will be the ones who will be denied jobs, be restricted in how and where we can travel, etc.
Why would they need social credit? They already have xkeyscore and parallel construction. The west has had a high-tech panopticon surveillance state long before China did lol.
