Democratic leaders spiked the football Thursday after the House passed the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending package and argued they have been able to accomplish more despite not holding the White House or either congressional chamber.
After rolling through a litany of Democratic wins in the spending package, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., declared Democrats were big winners in the bipartisan bill despite their standing in Congress. Specifically, he touted funding for the Gateway tunnel project and increased spending for the National Institutes of Health, along with other programs.
"It's a funny thing. In a certain sense, we're able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority," Schumer said when asked at one point about the wildfire-related funding that was included in the bill.
Well that's the strategy and why the republicans are the controlled opposition party. They only pretend to fight the democrats and instead keep on voting to help them win. Ask a diehard republican conservative what their representative's vote record looks like and see them stammer.

That's it?! Meanwhile, among many other Republican priorities, the President gets full funding for the military and the start of the Wall "Upgraded Fence." The bill has $1.6 billion dollars for repairs and upgrades, including new construction, to the existing 110+ miles of steel bollard fencing, and only steel bollard fencing, and not a wall. Fortunately, Trump's Wall "Upgraded Fence" design matches the definition for an upgrade to the current steel bollard fencing. Wall "Upgraded Fence" construction begins on Monday, and the Liberals gave it away.
We'll see who's still smiling when the first Fence section goes up. The rest of the Fence money will most likely come from NAFTA renegotiations.

So the bill is for funding the next 6 months. With the military getting an extra 70billion over that period. It's odd to stretch that and imply anything is off the table legally or legislatively this year. Think again retard. Read up on budget vs omnibus spending. The president must give the resources to the places a budget says. He can freely let or not let resources be given or not given to the respective agencies in an omnibus. Something about a 1971 budgetary law to prevent Nixon from interfering with the budget.
