"Only those who live by faith know what is happening in the world."
Ven. Fulton Sheen predicts the nature of Satan, the ape of God, and his role in eroding our societies across the world. If you wonder, "How can atheists, liberals, pagans, and others not see this evil for what it is?" it is because they do not have the faith. Therefore, to them, this world of darkness is instead light. To them, evil is good, and good is evil. Many 'prophets' so-called in the modern day make these predictions, and lo and behold, they turn out to be true just a few years later. Ven Fulton Sheen, however, made these predictions in 1947.
Orthodox Church seems pretty well-loved by Russian Government.
Matthew Brooks
He actively supported it and liked it.
Josiah Williams
Truly the Papist's argument of last resort. Contrast that with the Papist church which is well-loved by homos (and a great many other un-Christian people and entities), and it is obvious which church is the more fitting candidate. You have to sort your propaganda folder mate.
Listen, you can pretend your schismatic Church (that nobody knows about) is the One True Church, you can become Catholic. I realize I risk broaching the spirit of charity with my words, but no, they are true.
The chances of the Russian Schismatic Church being the One True Church aren't very likely.

Dylan Barnes
amazing Why is it that Papists always fail so miserably at advertising themselves and their church?
Samuel Barnes
As usual…Orthodox and Catholics insulting one another. That's why it's so hard for me to hold onto faith; because we keep on hating one another. What the heck, this board helped me as much as it has made the wounds in my spirit wider than the canyons drawn into the ground by the thousand of years of rivers marking and cutting through the heart. I truly hope I'll be able to stop coming here, because this place only deepens my torment, seeing the faithful wrestle and fight among themselves whilst the world slowly sinks into darkness.
Josiah Foster
So he would be in Steven Anderson's church?
Liam Rodriguez
What about Westboro? Or if you have to go farther back, the anabaptists and such?
Ayden Sanchez
Like pottery.
Elijah Torres
Westboro are heretics who have uncommon teachings as part of their notoriety. Anderson is persecuted for preaching orthodox Christian teachings without any sugarcoating.
Gabriel Flores
I get the anti caesaro papist argument and why papacy is needed but stop harping on muh Russia because it doesn't apply to all the other Orthodox churches outside of Russia and especially the Oriental Orthodox.
Gabriel Morales
That's a better deal then those indulgences the Rome used to sell.
Add to that Westboro is primarily made of one family group and majority lawyers that make money off of suing people that break the law against them. Churches and local people were warned of this when WB threatened to come to my area for a funeral protest.
Ayden Gonzalez
Ethos cannot be supreme over the Logos. The One True Church must surely be Catholic, in the literal sense of the word.
Jason Torres
no amount of semantics will uplift your pedophilic cabal
Hudson Watson
Ethos = National Identity Logos = Jesus Christ
If you really think some obscure Eastern schismatic sect is the One, True, Church, I got a bridge to sell you. It goes through the tollhouse.
Elijah Baker
The Eastern Orthodox Church is also called the Orthodox Catholic Church and is the original Catholic Church.
Joseph Sullivan
wish someone told me knowing russian or greek was a per-requisite for joining the one true church then
Landon Morgan
>implying times have ever been anything but shitful and the antithesis of God You people and your rose-coloured glasses about how life was soooooo "godly" back any time before 1960 There has ALWAYS been sin, and always men of God to rail against it. The 1920s to 40s were AWASH with based preachers railing against the world and the sin in the world. Where do you think the tent revivalist meme comes from? And I don't think any denomination lacked for at least one. Just as the world was awash with based preachers off and on since about 1700. There have been waves of revivals as often as there has been a slow, measurable degradation in the faith of men and the adoption of sin.
Seriously, brah, do some more research before you start heaping prophetic titles on Sheen. He was just one of scores. Doesn't diminish his important part to play.
In fact, now that I think on it, his fulminations about the devil and the modern world's humanism remind me a lot of Chesterton and Lewis after him.
Ethan Anderson
The Orthodox Church surely is Catholic. Each bishopric has the fullness of the Church. This isn't a problem for us because we believe in unity in multiplicity. All of the Apostles to the nations were given the keys, not just Peter.
Gavin Perry
Enough!
Brandon Brown
This. Even Luther was complaining about empty churches. And Eusebius tells us post-persecution(but pre-dominitian) christians turned into lukewarm degenerates.
Even in the NT, you had folks banging their stepmoms and other despicable things.
Sebastian Brown
Stop following the rules so neatly, then. That goes for Catholics, prots, and orthodox. Jesus Christ spoke out against religious traditions taking over your life, about hypocritical 'believers', and also about people who blindly flowed authority.
You can be catholic without agreeing with the pope. You can be Christian without being obsessed with every vowel in the Bible ruling each detail of your life. Commit yourself to bettering the world around you, to bettering yourself for others and for God. Don't be a hypocrite that is an expert on scripture but with no love or freedom in his heart. Bachir Gemayel is an example of a catholic that believed in God, protected Christianity, but still played by his own rules and never apologized for being imperfect. Make something of your lives, all of you, instead of fighting over which organization of Christ's followers is the least cucked
Now that's just putting words in Jesus' mouth. Jesus spoke about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, he even said that told people of his time to do as they say not as they do and referred to the fact they still sit on the seat of Moses and still has authority to teach. He didn't tell people to start multitudes of their own special snowflake churches with their own interpretations of the OT.
