You need to have more wisdom in regards to the 'why did God' questions. We are all short-sighted and cannot see the future. God knows these things. He even explicitly said in the OT that he picked Israel to be his people out of the entire world. It's his will and not yours that is done. It's his glory. Today we have Jesus Christ to preach to the world and you no longer need to be an Israelite, yet much of the world still doesn't care enough to listen. That is the fault of the world, not the fault of God.
