Dang you’re fast.
these aren't christ's passion specifically (except the garden) but fit the theme
Yeah, so it goes. By the way I noticed some of the images posted are poached from the following site, so I thought I would give the site a shout out.
How long did he lay in the tomb before he arose? Do you think he was conscious during this time? What were his thoughts?
He became unconscious on the cross.
Not an image, but never fails to get me.
;_;
What is the timeline for all of this? How is time handled when you die? How long did Jesus spend awake locked in the tomb waiting? How long did he spend foraging in hell for the good souls?
Daily reminder that the key to freeing yourself from sin is meditation on The Passion.
Did Christ suffer when he descendent to hell? Or was he merely on a search and rescue mission?
Please post pics everyone.
Obligatory repost.
I seriously do not have enough good Christ suffering imagery saved. Could others please post?
The third image you posted; WWI?
I think so, I have no idea the artist. I think it's Italian, as the soldier looks like he's wearing Italian equipment.
I have more images, but I keep getting flood detection.
Wow. Number three. So good.
You all made my night. Thank you for posting.
I do not mean to diminish from the suffering of our Lord but may we take a brief moment to remember the sorrow of his mother.
God bless you user, I hope that this helps.
I don't have as many images of Our Lady, but I will post some shortly.
I don’t think you quite understand how horrifying it is to be crucified. I think you’re trying to be so edgy without really understanding anything about torture. Thank you for the effort though
If you keep hanging out on this board and posting, eventually you will learn something.
Is that all you’ve got?
Ignore him.
I’m going to have fun with him until the mods delete his posts. In a couple of years he’s going to be getting his drivers license. Maybe he’ll look back on this moment and remember it.
Give him time. It's their passive aggressive way of crying out for answers. He wouldn't be here if it wasn't the case.
They think they come here to be angry; but they come here because they are lost.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us
Our Lady of La Salette, Pray for us
Keep going. We’re listening.
The Sorrowful Mysteries
I think that's all that I have.
Thank you. God bless you!
How dare you call someone a faggot on one of the chans. Don’t you know that you might offend someones delicate sensibilities? What are you thinking man?
It’s kind of fun when the mods are asleep isn’t it?
OK.
Keep it up. It's necessary that it hurts
They don’t even know that all of the atheists agree that Christ was a historical figure. It’s kind of a little sad. He’s putting an off a lot of effort into arguing without doing any research.
He is here looking for something.
“ especially those in most need of thy mercy. “
We just wish you do a little research. You have no idea why we love you so much.
Thank you for the excellent posts user!
Religious art is a gateway. That one fellow, that one that the mods deleted, he looked through the gate tonight. When your devotion makes others a little uncomfortable, that is when you know you are doing it right.
Ohhhh, so WE'RE the ones calling YOU bad people. YOU'RE the victim in all this. WE did this to YOU.
I see. We will think heavily on our transgressions and reform. Thank you for enlightening us.
Is this what passes as bait these days?
It's a sin to tell lies user, even on the internet
Now, let’s not be mean. He seems very upset.
After all this stressful conversation someone is going to need a little warm milk for their tummy before they go sleepy sleep.
Seriously though, it’s weird to have someone heckle us on such a low level. I really do think he’s just ignorant and searching.
We can hope.
Veronica is a beautiful name
It is almost time for another Catholic Art Thread.
Excellent video, one of the best sermon I have ever heard
I'm not sure how vomiting will help them.
wait a second…
? Christ suffering makes us sad, which makes us bond more with him.
Put some sad music on and do a meditation of imagining yourself in an empty field with Christ on the cross in the middle of it…his lifeless body up there – the son of God – just reduced and humiliated in the most horrible way possible. Just imagine yourself approaching him on the cross all by yourself, there is no one around you in this empty field but Christ's mutilated body up there. This meditation should make you cry and bond more with him.
These images should help invoke those feelings, and the more you touch them the stronger your bond to him will get.
