Clannad is the best that's explicitly about family life but loving families are common in anime even if the show isn't explicitly about that. Castle Town Dandelion for example has a huge loving family with a mom and dad and nine kids who all help each other with chores. You are more likely to see a loving intact family unit and idyllic scenes of a things like a housewife cooking breakfast for her kids in the morning while the dad reads the paper in anime than in modern western media.

People benefit from relaxation and entertainment as a necessary counterweight for work and studying. When talking about audiovisual entertainment, good anime ranks remarkably well on the healthiness scale compared to a lot of other things.

There are anime and manga that have good moral messages. There are anime and manga that uplift and give hope. Some anime and manga even show Christianity in a positive light. The enemy is opposed to these things.

There isn't much of a problem in gender roles in this show apart from the fact that homosexual relationships are openly shown and represented as normal by the show itself. We learn that a sister of Lincoln is a Lesbian and that Lincoln's black friend has gay parents.

From my own experience I haven't seen politically-correct manipulation to this extent in anime. If anime deserves to die, then cartoons deserve to be executed by a firing squad.
