Christian Nation

If a Christian nation existed, how would you ensure that its population wouldn't apostate over time or become largely secularist? What laws or form of government would you have in place?

Less government assistance.

Given human nature you can't really avoid it, you can only delay it.

Major helps would be outlawing and actually enforcing laws against usury, vigilance against heresy, completely refusing admission of Jews, heavily regulating education, entertainment and cultural consumption, and constantly reminding the state that it is subservient to the Church and not vice versa or on "equal footing" with it.
Plus, probably dozens of excellent, pious and righteous kings one after another which as we know is impossible.
I'd probably even toss in the death penalty so that even wicked criminals can have one final shot at repentance and die as saints.

Basically, what said.
It's all pie in the sky nonsense because at the end of the day we can't force people to do anything. We're not Muslims.

As long as freedom exist, you will never be safe. However, considering that you come from a 100% observant state, the best strategy it's to be as conservative as possible so revolutionaries and social engineers have to fight the whole nation, as an organism. Their strategy it's to introduce divisions by intellectual ideologues.

Sorry for my english.

Laws against certain materials, marxism, dawkins, etc being taught and sold, prohibitions on liberal arts, non admission of non christians, banning subversive TV shows and channels, copy russias anti blasphemey law, banning heavy industrailization

Idk, extremely Libertarian economics, ban jews, enforce physical removal of heresy (especially Schofield tier nonsense,) Strong enforcement of natural law. And if there are public schools I would make them include Christian history and Biblical perspective especially the Eden Sumeria connection. Of course every race gets their own ethnostate. Anything else is chaos and goes against natural law.

This is the big one. At least make sure they're not allowed to teach or hold any positions of power. Also ban usury.

Orthodox Monarchy is the best system for that historically speaking.

You can't until Jesus Christ returns as King of kings and Lord of lords and rules this entire planet with an iron rod. That is why we watch and pray and eagerly await for the return of our Lord.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

Didn't stop commies

That doesn't stop their economic influences from seeping through. Puppet politicians are more likely to come about that way. Trying to enforce these laws against them is more expensive than simply banning them.

Neither did the West.

Good point

I think the only real reason that Russia fell was because the state was weakened by the war. Most of the Russian people weren't on board with gommunism, that's why they had to send so many people to the gulags.

That's a big if
matthew 5:29-30
As galatians 5:9 says
So cut it off and cast that leavened member of the body of Christ from thee.
One's entirely based off exactly what God says in the Bible. The levitical precepts and ordinances for those in the flesh and the melchisedec precepts and ordinances for those in the spirit hebrew's sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth chapters explain the difference.

Also this and this wait for revelation 11:15 to happen.

You might as well resurrect the pharisees, we've superseded the ritual laws.

Contradiction in terms I think. Here's my reasoning:

It basically boils down to Luke 9:59-60

This is strange to modern ears, but what's going on here is like a feudal lord demanding fealty. When your feudal lord needed you to fight a battle, you didn't tarry.

For instance the Gathering Song of Donald the Black by Sir Walter Scott;

Come every hill plaid and
True heart that bears one,
Come every steel blade and
Strong hand that bears one,
Leave untended the herd,
The flock without shelter;
Leave the corpse uninterr'd***,
The bride at the altar;
Leave the deer, leave the steer,
Leave nets and barges:
Come with your fighting gear,
Broadswords and targes.

Hence a Christian nation is impossible because we owe fealty to God first and foremost, no less and maybe more than Donald the Black's vassals owed him their swords. Also "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" (Mark 12:17) essentially makes Christianity as a religion a kingdom unto itself. You can enforce Christianity as a ruler, and punish apostasy like the Muslims, but you haven't created a Christian nation.

Expel all those who are not in a state of grace and do not seek reconciliation. Theocracy

abolish death.
abolish sickness.
abolish thunder.
abolish forests.
abolish mountains.
abolish darkness.
abolish spooky basements and sheds.
abolish rivers.
abolish springs.
abolish lakes and oceans.
abolish clouds.
abolish anything that can be misconstrued as a natural spirit or goes against the idea of an omnibenevolent god, etc.

Basically I'd lock people into sensory deprivation tanks that read them the bible.
Otherwise people get thoughts like "ohh there's spooky demons in that forest I can feel them watching me."
Etc.

Strip off their rights as a citizen if they leaves christianity

Seconded.

Thank you for the information presented. You gave me a greater comprehension of what is meant when Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world.

Any form of human government is doomed to fail until Jesus himself rules over the new Earth.

CathCom Gang with Mexican Characteristics, where y'all at!?

Can we stop calling them "Jews" ? God clearly values the word "Jew" to men a spiritual believer of him, but the pharisees have hijacked it, we shouldn't take their bait, at least use ((())).

Access control is the easiest method. Simply don't allow anyone citizenship who hasn't properly and earnestly converted to the Faith. Limit non-believers to residency with no birthright citizenship in specifically designated commercial districts where we proselytize heavily. This doesn't even have to be a sovereign state. We could start small with simple communities and grow from there.

If there were a Christian nation in the world today it would be invaded by an international coalition led by the United States by sundown.

By outlawing Papism.

The reason Russia fell was that Nikolai II "Romanov" was in fact Nikolai II of Holstein-Gottorp, a 100% German married to a 100% German wife, with no relation to Russia, its people, its history, or its race. The most successful Russian emperor was Peter the Great, who was a real Russian Romanov, the German emperors only lived off his success.

Would the ban against papism also outlaw caesaropapism? :^)

Think about this for a minute: has even one single Christian nation in history survived to the present day?
The Faith isn't a governmental system, it's a relationship with the creator of the universe. Like the first Israel, any government we try to establish will be (((infiltrated))) sooner or later. Go take a cursory glance at I and II kings to see what I'm talking about.

As a side note, the Amish kinda suck. Holing yourself up like a shut-in helps no-one.

The answer, as always lies in space Catholicism

To keep degeneracy from setting in I think it's important to maintain a certain population density.

Send people out as space pioneers, give them a mission. And they'll fulfill it. Idle hands being the devil's work.

Instead of trying to control every aspect of people's lives instead we should focus on being the Christians we want others to emulate and have people follow is through example.

Also leave the orthodox /Muslims in Earth. Space does not need warmongers like Kirill and Mohammed

yeah i guess the crusades don't count as warmongering right

sounds like space Malaria

Jews shall not be allow in the Christian nation because they will worm it all the way to the top level.

Lol Peter I literally started the long process of ruining the Russia. You obviously don't understand Russians or monarchy in general.
Peter I westernized Russian nobility and intelligentsia and made them think and act the way West did. But the Russian populace did not think like that and this over the centuries created a big conflict between nobility and ordinary folk.
Alexander III started the process of reverting this and Nicholas II continued, but it was cut short with WWI.
It doesn't matter what nationality is the monarch. His rule is ordained by God and he is there to rule according to God's laws for the benefit of the people he rules over and it's in his personal interest to do his job to the best of his ability because his legacy, both written and physical, depend on it.
In order for a monarch to rule well he needs to have connection with his subjects, he needs to understand them. This connection is what Peter I destroyed.

Yes, that's why Peter I won his wars, while Nicholas II lost both his wars and Russia to the commies. Look, it will always be "you shall know them by their fruits", Peter's fruits were great, Nicholas' were rotten, speculating about reasons that neither of us can prove is entirely pointless.

And how exactly did Peter gained those fruits?
War of aggression against Sweden in which he started to lose and then razed his own cities and fields in desperation.
Nicholas was a bad commander and should not have gotten personally involved in battle plans, but he was an excellent emperor.
Russian people were betrayed by their nobility and intelligentsia most of whom did not understand ordinary Russian folk and were against the Church, which is why there was such a great amount of mysticism in Russia at the time.
None of what I said is speculation, but crude facts.

And nationality indeed does not matter. Look at Romania. They invited a Hohenzollern to rule them and he was a foreign but good king who even turned against his own family in WWI for the benefit of Romania

You forgot that Sweden had the best army in Europe at that time, and they lost 95% of it against Peter! Peter build St. Petersburg, he secured the ports in Baltic which allowed Russia to become a great power. Nicholas II was dissociated from his people, everyone says that. Both he and his ancestors absolutely failed the modernization of Russia, and Russians felt cheated when they started losing against the smaller German army. Many conservative officers like Brusilov joined the Red Army because they didn't care about a German tsar. Don't forget that the February Revolution came before the October Revolution and was supported by basically all of Russia.
The only thing I fault the Russians for, is that they lacked the courage to carry on with the war, because if they had only held out a few more months Constantinople would be Christian now (see Greco-Turkish war of 1919-1922). We Serbs lost 26% of our population, but we never gave up, our people starved to death before surrendering, while Russia revolted before even losing 2% of its population.
Yes Ferdinand I of Romania did his duty, but Carol II murdered Codreanu. With a foreigner as king you can never be sure, it's always a coin toss and in the long run it does always more harm than good.

It is, actually.

The freedom you speak of is a lie. Is a man roaming in a city he doesn't have a map truly free? Or is the man with the map freer by restricting his options?

Easy

You forgot Carol "I made my crown out of captured artillery" I, who was the best one.
The Legion was getting out of control.
Even Antonescu didn't like them.

Nah, more like Space Banana Republic(Eclipse Phase) or Space Unitarian Universalism(Orion's Arm).

It depends on how you define freedom. If, when we say freedom, the first thing that comes to our minds is "sexual liberation" and "freedom to do drugs", then we aren't talking about the real freedom, but the satanic freedom. Or, a "freedom to sin" - a thing worthy of contemplation.

On the other hand, I read a biography of Steve Jobs once and it had a concept, that SJ used, in order to justify his iTunes policies: "freedom from pornography". Then, we have "free speech", "freedom of expression" - and governments which base their power on lies are actively fighting those. "Freedom to be anonymous", "freedom to learn, have families", "freedom to roam".

Let's take freedom of speech. Is it inherently good or evil? We can use it to slander people, we can use it to deliberately harm some people, we can use it to spread propaganda. So, maybe we should deem it as evil and leave that out in a perfect republic and allow only vetted speech? I wouldn't think so. In my opinion, despite those problems, for some of which I would even deny the "free speech" status, it is the "free speech" that allows that republic to clean itself, it allows for a nation of equal people at the face of the law. And this, in my opinion, makes the concept inherently good.

Because he was a German collaborator who murdered Russian Orthodox civilians.

Ok, let me put it another way. No one liked them.
No, right-wing autism is no better than left-wing one.
