Rank doesn't seem to mean much in special forces environments across the globe. I wouldn't be suprised if they hand them out like cookies so they can get thier guys paid more. Soldiers pay here isn't bad, but nothing to write home about either until you hit high officer ranks. With that rank, the dude would probably make about 70k a year, which seems reasonable to pay for someone in that line of work, unlike the american version of paying 30k or something similarly ridiculous.
That was more of a prepper type deal. They were preparing for a certain political event ( riots & civil war), in which case they would act. They were not, as portrayed, planning to kill them with the intent to execute as soon as the planning stage had finished. Hence, their material gathering, as they were sure that they would need it in the following political and physical altercations in what amounts to a civil war.
I doubt they're going to hand Serbs a whole lot of firearms. Although that would definitely end any question of whether or not we need a secure border, as we will have one. You shouldn't put a spade in the ground anywhere near the borders for a few decades.
I was under the impression that becoming a Meister just to sign up is a viable financial move, as the pay is quite decent compared to what you get in the East. Otherwise, thank you for de/pol/ing this thread.
S2 tells me to say hi.
Anyway, I believe that the US estimates about 25% of their troops to be combat personnel, while 75% are REMFs. While it isn't unlikely that the US armed forces are a logistical nightmare with far to many REMFs, i doubt that the Bundeswehr can make an improvement of that high of a percentage overall just by being better at planning.
The old jpg saying "The US Army is highly capable in the field because it practices chaos on a daily basis" comes to mind. I don't think that the Bw can be THAT good of a logistical outfit, where they mange to turn the logistics key upside down.
Most of them are in financial trouble. They're trying to get out of their debts by just declaring that the gov't cannot enforce their debts because it isn't legitimate anyway. Others are just plain retarded. The fact of the matter is, Might makes right, always has, and the Reich has been abolished by everyone for decades until they came along.
Bonus tidbit: one of them got arrested after trying to shoot someone they owed money to with an airsoft pistol in a fight in public.
They are bonafide retards.
I don't think they need them. For an assassination plot from guys that capable, they only need a few AR15s and a couple of 30rd mags, I doubt any random protection outfit is going to stop people that capable. AR15s are still legal as firearms here. Hell, they could probably do most of them with IEDs and pistols, Middle East experience should have given them enough knowledge about how to make IEDs from scrap. These guys do not need "contacts".
This should be expanded upon. The current SecDef's son ( one of seven children) was part of a consultancy company that was hired. It looks like corruption and nepotism all rolled in to one.
Also, what's with the /pol/ stuff in here? Half the posts are 'le ebil jews' instead of staying on topic.
