Is he right, Zig Forums? Are we nothing more than incognito pagans?

He might have a point.
Much of what Zizek says should be understood in a fairly ironic way though.

I did not know Slavoj Zizek was a Muslim.

The issue with such an interpretation is that it fails to understand what the Lord of the Rings is. LOTR is a form of Wagner's Ring Cycle but with Christian values as opposed to Pagan ones. This article by Spengler explains it pretty well

He is rewriting the Pagan mythos. Claiming that his work is just inherently Pagan in of itself is a very smallbrained way to look at it

Zig Forums please go

Zizek is an unironic christcom, as evidenced by his work The Fragile Absolute.

t. someone who never read The Fragile Absolute

No he's winnie the pooh not. He's a heretic that distorts Christian symbols and signs to fit his Marxist dialectics.
At least you had the courtesy to sage.

what a shocker

Zizek is an unapologetic communist and a fool.

Noticing Catholics try to get close to it as possible, Hes right in a way.

All of this sectarianism isn't helping anyone.

Attached: 8JTB3Sa.jpg (237x372, 28.78K)

…Do you actually want us to post proper sectarian arguments that would help of certain sects?

This is what you get for killing millions of Christians.

That's a funny way of spelling heretics

Behold, there is no mercy or sorrow for God's people in the heart of the beast! Crucify me with Christ! Better to die a matyr then a heretic.

So is this basically the "If you're a homophobe you're secretly gay" of theological arguments?

man I wish I still had my copypasta

Which one of the 30,000+ denominations are you going to be support?

yep

30,000+ Denominations vs one satanic boi

What a brainlet. If you read the actual report they divide the "denominations" based on finical separations, not differences of beliefs.
So anyone who says that there are 30,000+ denominations are either ignorant or malicious, and to be quite frank, judging on your jesuit-like behavior of playing the 'controlled opposition', I have to say you're both.

He also thinks "only an atheist can be a true Christian" and says all sorts of similar nonsense, both in theology and politics

Christianity has been overrated (as in, seen as more than it is) for about two thousand years.
Germany alone has been a heretic forever despite the "holy roman empire".
Despite this they mass produced the bible and built extremely beautiful cathedrals, athored many a manuscript and composed a myriad of divine hymns and co.

But they have never been really very Christian at all.
Only someone who has pretty much zero standards would look at any place in the world and call it very Christian.

Steve really does look like a prophet of Satan from these videos.

...

Yep. The Silmarillion is infused with Christian themes.

Would you have called Jim Jones a christian?

...

But in that universe it wouldnt be considered pagan.

These people are delusional and blind

He's an atheist and embraces theotanatology, believing that God literally died on the cross and never resurrected. That's not what I would call "christian"

He encourages dialectic materialism, that opposes Christianity, so no.

Did he just ignore the entire first chapter of the Sil that talk about Eru Illuvetar?

*sniff*

In LOTR it's paganism with a transcendental God. So, it's not a perverted """religion""" like neo-paganism. It's not polytheism but a world with only one God, others being celestial beings like angels or maybe aspects of God like in hinduism.

By doing it, Tolkien only showed the fact christianity can assume other pre- or extra-christian religions without betraying itself.
That's pretty simple

He who feeds on collapsed universes seek revenge, Kar-toons, were his people with the new "toon force" the enemies of THE CHRIST, will POUND mere humans!

Literal retard.
The fact that some people consider him an intellectual perfectly describes post-modernism.
