I think the reason why rural areas tend to slant Republican is because the cost of living in these areas are low. So if you have a steady job in these areas, you are unlikely to run into financial difficulty unless you have health problems. Most people on Zig Forums and 4chan are young.
Whereas the liberals in the city, they are getting fucked with no vaseline by capitalism. The cost of living is so high in the city and surrounding suburbs. So they are going to be more inclined to believe that government regulation of the economy is necessary. Thing is, the liberals haven't been doing jack shit to help all us urbanites getting fucked. I live in Canada where we actually have the Liberal Party in charge. And the Liberal Party of Ontario was in charge provincially for nearly 13 years. And they have done nothing but fuck us.
Neither side (Republican/Democrat, Conservative/Liberal) has a solution to the housing crisis in the metropolises. Doug Ford is not going to save the Greater Toronto Area. He only won because Kathleen Wynne was terrible.
The only real solution to tackle housing is to put a moratorium on immigration to prevent the problem from getting worse and for the government to earmark funds to build affordable housing units (commieblocks) for the people already here. And to provide incentives for employers to hire people outside of the metropolitan areas. 80+% of new jobs in Ontario all go to the Greater Toronto Area. So if you want to move 2 hours away from Toronto to save on housing, you can do so but it's a lot harder to get a job in the boonies.
But the politicians have no political will to put a moratorium on immigration. Because the elites want immigration. More immigrants = more cheap labour for the elite to exploit + more rental demand + housing demand = value of the elite's real estate investments go up.

In fact the other day I actually called my sister (who lives in downtown Toronto) a latte liberal, downtown liberal snob who is out of touch. She is a SJW. But she doesn't give a single solitary fuck about the homeless people near her building. Or poor people in general. People like her, gentrifying white hipster liberals who move into the city and push out the poor people, were gunned down by Faisal Hussain in Greektown and good riddance. Everyone wants to harp about Faisal Hussain being a Muslim. But Greektown is full of white liberal trash. We should be thanking the Muslims for taking out the trash for us. Downtown liberals are responsible for ruining our society.

There are tons of salaried wage cucks making way less than 100k per year. The workforce is mostly service sector based now. If you work in an office full-time, chances are you are salaried. Hourly is for blue-collar workers. And people who work McJobs.
