torrentfreak.com/dish-is-hiring-an-investigator-to-research-and-monitor-pirates-180908/ Dish Network, one of the largest pay-TV providers in the United States, sees online piracy as a serious threat that can't be ignored. The company is hiring a new anti-piracy specialist who will be tasked with researching and monitoring various pirate sites, as well as making sure that eBay, Craigslist, and YouTube remain piracy-free. With $15 billion in annual revenue, American satellite and broadcast provider Dish Network is a force to be reckoned with.
The company has been on a pirate crusade in recent years, filing several lawsuits against alleged pirate sources, including the popular Kodi-addon repository TVAddons.
TVAddons previously announced that it had reached a confidential settlement and this week the case was indeed dismissed (pdf). Dish, however, maintains dedicated to the piracy problem on other fronts.
Biggest entertainment industries in the world with constant grows and insane revenues…yet still blindly tries to destroy everything that stands in the way of their greed.

I quit watching ALL TV a long, long time ago. however, I recently decided to finally give it another shot, and I paid for DISH. personally, as an artist, I agree completely with copyright laws, and I'm opposed to piracy. if you're too fucking cheap to pay, then make your own god damn entertainment.

Me too, I cut the cord years ago. As far as an internet connection I highly recommend getting a private VPN. It is enough to keep your communications at least semi-private (at least from corporate level snooping, perhaps not government level if they reeeeeally wanted to know what your up to).

SPEAKING OF GREED :
YOU, and your idiotic belief that you are somehow 'entitled', as if it's your right to be entertained at the expense of others, as if they are obligated to provide you content to occupy your time.
not to mention your repugnant laziness, you fucking sloth.
like I said, you're just a cheap piece of shit. you don't complain about paying for food, buying video games, or the electricity required to watch your homoerotic anime bullshit……
oh yeah, I almost forgot… your mother pays those bills for you…
if you don't like it, make your own god damn movies and TV shows

yep… the reason I quit watching TV so long ago was (of course) because how much TV SUCKED….
it became so fucking worthless, that I simply couldn't stand it anymore. I went years and years without it.
then, for some dumb reason, recently I decided "aww what the fuck" and I pitched for DISH Network and a new TV…
I figured my wife and I would probably enjoy a few movies and maybe just some 'background noise's if nothing else.
I was mistaken. we haven't enjoyed it very much. we're both amazed at how TV has gotten even worse than it was when we decided to stop…

I do. I pay for things made with effort and love, and I pirate the rest.
If I put out garbage, I can expect to have it pirated. Entertainers are entertainers. They should expect to be paid when they're entertaining, and only when they're entertaining. This logic is what kills any sort of competitive drive within producers and developers.
my wife pretty much keeps it on SCIENCE channel 24/7 and the volume is really low. occasionally she likes watching the CAT show on animal planet with that ugly faggot with the creepy beard, but that's about it…
