No but I doubt God would say no if you asked for your doggo once you get up there.

Do dogs even have imortal souls? If they don't I think there isn't a way for them to go to Heaven or Hell

Some people who have, supposedly, had out of body experiences mentioned seeing their dogs in Heaven.

No. They don't have rational soul.

sage and [-]

I want my doggo to go to heaven

nobody has used scripture that answers the question.

in genesis 1 and 2, there is a difference between when God MADE his creation, and when he FORMED his creation.

also it is declared that it was man and woman who sinned having been beguiled by the serpent.

in the nt the bible talks about a literal resurrection, some unto life and some unto death.

since no instance illustrates that fauna and beasts have sinned other than, say, the serpent, it stands to reason that all of the oher beasts COULD be resurrected.

and also, in revelation the armies of God are on horses are they not?

all doggies go to heaven

This is pretty much how I think it'll be too.

They go to hell

If God willed it you would see your pupper in heaven.
If he didn't will it, his decision would be flawlessly just and you couldn't argue the matter with him because you'd be wrong.

>So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

>no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

I feel like no one on this board actually reads the bible…

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by its gates. 15But outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Do insects go to heaven as well? I've killed a lot of spiders and ants.

...

Dude, it's literally written canine… κύνες

Well I guess you're right, every animal can go to heaven except ones in the Family Canidae.

Animals don't have souls, user-kun…

Can? Yes. With God all things are possible.
Will? I don't know. I'll find out at some point.

guys this dog literally understands the intrinsic value of fiat currency

but we don’t

I don't know but I hope so, posts like this motivate me to be a good Christian so I can see my best friend again. I got my dog when I was 5 and she died last year (lived to be 17), and there were periods when she was the only friend I had like at the time she died I had no friends outside my family. I can't imagine ever being happy knowing she's gone for eternity even if I'm in heaven, so I hope I get to see her if I make it there. And I don't want her to be alone there if dogs do go to heaven, so I've got a lot of reason to try and make it.

GET OUT

OWLS ARE OF THEIR FATHER SATAN
The symbolism in the animal kingdom is something the medieval world understood, but modern man has lost with its adoration of so-called natural science and positive facts.

After Adam's original sin, certain animals kept more of the paradisiacal characteristics and innately reflected more of the truth, goodness and beauty of God. The nobleness of the lion, the high horizons of the eagle, the perseverance and industry of the ant, the dove's fidelity to one mate – these were good qualities that made the animal admirable.

Other creatures, however, represented sin that had entered the world. Such animals – the frog always hiding and attached to the ground, the spider weaving its infernal snares to catch unaware victims, the bat sucking the blood of the animals when they sleep and only flying at night because it is blinded by daylight, the lack of seriousness of the ape – considered the worst beast (turpissima bestia) – which, along with the fork-tongued serpent, symbolizes Satan himself. These animals were reminders to man on earth the Devil ever lurking in the dark and skulking about in order to lure him into sin and the death of the soul.

The many good and bad beasts carved in stone and wood found on the medieval churches may say little to the modern man, but they spoke much to the minds of the people who understood the symbolism of the beasts.
Since it hides in darkness and avoids the light, the owl also came to symbolize Satan, the Prince of Darkness. The owl's symbolism with the occult and secret knowledge has a long history. Since the times of the Greeks and Romans, the owl – ruler of the night – was a guardian of the underworlds inhabited by the demons. An owl was always on the shoulder of Minerva and Athena, goddesses of wisdom and learning, symbolizing the occult knowledge of the pagan gods.

YOU KNIGHT OF GAHOOLE WILL SEE

Calm down man. Seriously.

I AM CALM

Isaiah 11:6-8
The wolf shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together;
and a little child shall lead them.
The cow and the bear shall graze;
their young shall lie down together;
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,
and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.

Assuming that isaiah 11 refers to heaven.
does make a very good point, and dogs aren't on the list (even if wolves are). Knew that cats were better.

notice no owls too HMMMM

I really hope this is true, my doggo (who was also my best friend) passed away suddenly and without warning during the night yesterday and really I'm in a terrible place right about now.

Would really appreciate some prayer fellas.

Remember what Christ said, through God all things are possible. Don't give up hope bro

On one hand, only men bear the ancestral sin, so only men need redemption. Not animals.

Furthermore, only man is created in the image and likeness of God, and made to become by grace what God is by nature.

But at the same time, the apostle is clear that it is all of creation that is redeemed, glorified, repaired in Christ. That would necessarily include beasts too. And there are serious issues with the notion that the soul of animals ceases to exist when they die - God has created all things and declared them good, thus nothing can cease to exist or else God would be working against goodness.

I think that all living things - from your pet dog to that annoying mosquito from the other day - will be part of the new creation. How that will work, I don't want to know yet. I don't think they will be resurrected though, but re-created alongside the rest of the cosmos.

...

All dogs go to heaven :^)

Do you think doggos in heaven can talk? What would your doggo say to you?

Nope. They go straight to the resurrection.

All Dogs go to Heaven. At lest according to a movie released in 1989

Will do. May Christ's peace be with you

I just sent a prayer to you brother in Christ.
I've got a dog (A Jack Russel) who now lives with us after my grandmother passed away earlier this year. I love him to bits and we've really grown close over these past months. I'm going to uni in a few months and i'm really not looking forward to being separated from my dog.
But enough about me. you'll be in my prayers through the rest of the day, and I hope it gets better for you user. I truly do believe that our dogs, just like our loved ones in Christ, will be renewed at the Resurrection and the Return of our Lord.
May the peace of Christ be with you.

underrated

I've got you, anons.

No because they don't have a spirit to worship God see john 4:24, they do have souls which are entirely seperate things since they breath see genesis 6:17, revelation 16:3, and 1 thesselonians 5:23.

Only stupid Protestants think animals go to heaven
Animals don't have souls

I think I read something once about animals having reincarnating souls and traveling to the heavens to be messengers on humans' conduct. Would account more satisfactorily for the far greater level of death and suffering animals endure. If one were to get into a metaphysical discussion over it perhaps one could deduce that all the souls of the animal kingdom may perhaps be gathered into a singular spiritual mass like Goku's spirit bomb or distributed through some other manner assuming an end of the world scenario. In any case it's more satisfying than Pastor Anderson's view and similar views of other churches like the Laestadians about animals being just stupid souless beasts who don't deserve anything.

Well they probably don't go to heaven but recognizing an animals spirit is still good practice.

Modern mass consumer slaughter certainly isn't very honoring, that's for sure.
Back then, when famine was still a thing, and you couldn't just facelessly buy some meat in the supermarket it was a big deal to kill an animal, prepare it to be eaten and used for tools and fur.

Especially if it was something like a bear or a boar. People revered those and treated them with respect. Apologizing and thanking it for taking its body but promising to not ensnare its spirit or taint it otherwise.

They respected their quarry.

Pooh off, fagan

All dogs go to heaven. It was man's nature who fell by sin. Animals just followed us by God's will to serve us.
Source: actual Orthodox priest i once asked

If you need your dog for it to be heaven, then your dog will be there. God bless.

Soul of Dog is not immortal. And since it is not, they cease to exist the moment they die. So no Dogs in heaven. Nor some kind of resurrection of dogs because soul is form of body and since form is gone, there cannot be recreation of matter proper to form.

Dogs are already in heaven lads. They ARE God.

FTFY

Also this. But I meant resurrection in broader sense as if you could call recreation of soul resurrection..

hoot

dogs can't share the beatific vision, but there may be 'creation' of some sort in heaven, perhaps we can just will creation into existence. however whenever i see a dead animal on the road i put the sign of the cross over them. i guess i'm just respecting the creature of these magnificent creatures.

also many dogs are bad, my dog bit me. i still have a scar from it. i later found out the dog was a jew though.

*creator of these magnificent creatures.
