I officially want to stop masturbating, it says nothing of it in the bible, but I want to quit. Only church cannon dictates anything about masturbation, the rest is interpretation.

Please pray with me

Father, as I enter into this jesus prayer period, I ask humbly for your mercy and strength so I stop continuing to do the things I do that displease you in your sight amen. Help me and all others this day to stop masturbating, in jesus name, amen.

It does say things about lust, user. But regardless, it is good to quit. I'll pray for you user.

I guess, if you somehow found some magical way to masturbate without lust.

...

Beat lust first, that is way more important.
Then get a wife and start making kids, literally.

Yeah nah youll never be satisfied with sex. At the end of the day youll be jerking off to shit and youll enjoy it.

Foolish lie. The works of the flesh are obvious; the sexually impure shall inherit Heaven.

Among the many drawbacks of masturbation, your penis acclimatizes to manual stimulation. It was seriously never meant to be jacked off 4 times a day, all this is enabled by the modern porn industry.

*AHEM*

the sexually impure SHALL NOT inherit Heaven

...

I know the feeling user.

I struggled with porn and masturbation both. I got especially turned on by gay porn or movies where women are brutally tortured and raped. It got to the point that I was no longer aroused by my wife.

So I went cold turkey on both masturbation and porn. Now, you must understand that this was a long process so you should learn patience. You will regress several times before you are completely out of the woods. I regressed several times into both of these addictions, the key is to recognize what you are doing as soon as possible and to stop. I fell to temptation several times and broke my progress numerous times with masturbation, but my porn addiction is well under control now. The temptation to jerk off to porn is always there but ever since I understand that porn is a talmudic posion of satan, it's much easier to stay away.
Sadly porn is everywhere now, to the point that you can't even avoid it fully (ads, movies, video games), but I managed to reject it.

I still struggle with masturbation because my wife never seems to be in the mood anymore, but even if that were not the case, it's a very good idea to discipline yourself so that you control your lust and not the other way around.

Enjoy your ban, heretic.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galations 5:22-23)
Please tell me how compulsively cranking your pecker like a caged monkey constitutes self-control.

pretty damn sure that it falls within
"thou shalt not steal" and "thou shalt not murder"

the logic itself is broken AF because crime against fellow humans hurts others while sins like masturbation hurts no one (except for yourself but that's a story for another day)

that's a terrible thing to say. so genuinely good people who made the world a better place will rot In hell or purgatory just because they fell pray to their natural desires?
honestly, that's just a vile point of view

Right, right, you can do what you want, it's your body, etc etc.

dont strawman me, that's not what i said at all.
i dont say masturbation is ok.
what i saying is condemning a good person to an eternity in hell just because they masturbated is completely wrong and immoral

Sorry but that's not how it works. Whatever modernist churches say, 'just be a good/nice person and everything is ok!' is just relativist garbage

The solution isn't to get a wife. That's stupid, I tell you. What you need to do is occupying your mind with more positive things. Like, literally anything. Even playing video games is better than fapping. Your mind is restless and just needs some kind of stimulation. I suggest praying rosary and meditation, but if you're still too restless to do any of those, that's okay. Try to alternate between video games and meditation. Play video games less and pray/meditate more everyday, until you finally get used to controlling your mind through meditation.

Alternatively, go outside and do physical labors or buy more books and study. But you know, not everyone can stand those activities for too long. You need a special kind of autism, or faith, to be that productive. That's why you need to build up your faith and endurance first through meditation.

As someone who's conducting a thorough study on that subject for over three decades I can assure you that this statement is false.

no. you are wrong. and your mentality pushes people away from religion and faith in god.

if all it takes is just one sin to be damned for all eternity. people will just prefer to sin as much as they want because the punishment will be the same.

not to mention that this world view of yours is very immoral

The amount of sins you've done in the past doesn't matter. What matters is your will and attempt in this life to repay it.

Biggest problem of modern day religions…their leaders got bought out by capitalism to not preach honest morals anymore. Can you imagine what would happen if the Pope stands up against capitalism…the insane amount of supporters would lead directly to another full scale crusade.

"Idolizing money is the root of all evil."

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart (Matthew 5, 27-28)
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4)
I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
It's a sin, to lust after a woman like that. To watch videos and to masturbate to it is adultery, and a sin. Paul tells the people that it is better to remain pure, and that if they cannot control themselves like he was able to (via no masturbation) then it is time to go out and find a good woman.

No, you can obviously repent. But it's still a sin. Preaching feel-good morality won't change that.
