The most destructive wildfire in California history leveled nearly the entire city of Paradise as firefighters battled massive fires on both sides of the state. At least 23 people were killed by the so-called Camp Fire in Butte County, authorities said. Most of the buildings in Paradise are in ruin and its business district is destroyed.
Only a day after the Camp Fire began, the blaze had destroyed more than 6,700 structures, almost all of them homes. Authorities said there were 110 people still missing.
"We are doing everything we possibly can to identify those remains and make contact with the next of kin so we can return the remains to the family," Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said Saturday evening.
The Camp Fire is just one of three major wildfires that firefighters are battling across the state. The 70,000-acre Woolsey Fire tore through Malibu mansions and working-class suburban homes in Southern California's hills and canyons. In less than two days, the Woolsey Fire and the Hill Fire, which is also burning in Southern California, prompted evacuation orders for more than 250,000 people.
Authorities plan to step efforts to recover and identify people who died in a Northern California wildfire that has killed 23 people.
Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said he will add another coroner's team to help find bodies in burned areas, and he ordered a DNA lab truck to assist in identifying human remains.Honea said in some cases, investigators have only found bones or bone fragments.
Officials are receiving expertise from anthropologists from nearby California State University, Chico.
Malibu looks like a war zone, with homes and businesses burned to the ground. Charred earth as far as the eye can see. All this, as the Woolsey fire is still nowhere near contained, CBS News' Jamie Yuccas reports.

President Trump says to cut all the trees down or no Federal aids
"His comments are reckless and insulting to the firefighters and people being affected," said Harold Schaitberger, president of the International Association of Fire Fighters. The president of the California Professional Firefighters said the message is an attack on some of the people fighting the devastating fires. "The President's message attacking California and threatening to withhold aid to the victims of the cataclysmic fires is ill-informed, ill-timed and demeaning to those who are suffering as well as the men and women on the front lines," Brian K. Rice said. "In my view, this shameful attack on California is an attack on all our courageous men and women on the front lines." Rice also added that Trump's assertion that California's forest management policies are to blame "is dangerously wrong." "Wildfires are sparked and spread not only in forested areas but in populated areas and open fields fueled by parched vegetation, high winds, low humidity and geography," he said.
There's a theory that forest management may have a role to play in fires like these. It's literally too many trees, too close together combined with quick reaction to put out fires that do occur.
This results in decades of underbrush and closely packed forest building up. Usually, this is all well and good (but not what occurs in nature, where fires burn unchecked). But in high windy, dry conditions a blaze can quickly turn into a superfire beyond human control.
The thinking is to either allow smaller, controlled fires to burn through regularly, or manually thin forests by removing excess trees and underbrush.
Both ideas are a hard sell though; the first because residents in these areas will object to the smoke while burns are carried out, and unsightly burn scars that remain afterwards.
The second for similar reasons - the mess, noise and ugly gaps left after trees are removed.
Bottom line is our 21st century love of forests/trees means over protection, when in nature they'd burn & regrow. This allows dangerous levels of undergrowth that cause superfires like this.
He said the issue is that "forest management is so poor."

He's upset because the bodies were too badly burned to have sex with
He says in the video that he went into a canyon? gully? as the fire passed over him
He's lucky he could still breathe
Every person who lives outside the cities should watch this and think about managed burns
Trump may be right

Basically, a man films the discovery of his neighbor's bodies, some of them in their cars. He had ran to the houses to help them flee when the flames first engulfed the area. One woman insisted she needed to put on makeup first. Hers is one of the bodies/skeletons. The man in the video had ran to a creek where the fire passed over and around him.
You can hear in his voice that his lungs are jacked from inhaling the smoke and superheated air. Hopefully he saw that remark and sought out medical attention.
the reason people burned inside their cars was late evacuation notices and bumper to bumper traffic on the only 2 lane hwy out of town. imagine it, you're in your car trying to evacuate and there are flames on both sides of you, you can feel the heat inside the cab, do you get out and they and outrun the fire? or do you try and let it burn over your car and just hope you dont die.
Christian Wood
That is a legitimate firefighting technique. Lead the fire by enough distance and remove all fuel in a path perpendicular to the fire's travel. They do it with buildings too. They'll sometimes just cut the building in half.

I wouldn't mind Cali hate so much if it weren't for the fact that anons are completely hypocritical when it comes to Europe. I've met Europeans, I've met Californians, they're both pretty bad. Eurofag libshits are even more pathetically weak than Califag libshits, but Califags will wreck your county and state if too many come in, so they're both cancer. But yuropoors get a free pass, why? California wasn't always a liberal hellhole, and I know for a fact there are plenty of conservative and even (old; not nu-cancer normalfaggotry) Zig Forums-tier Cal-anons that still get genuine hate. It makes no sense to me, but whatever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I do miss the intelligence that was commonplace, Zig Forums or elsewhere. Gassing was more of a joke, while in reality we'd just deport Jews, and maybe gas the ones that actually committed crimes (e.g. Soros), but now these newfag kiddies fit the "dumb bully" character archetype way too well. Back then, that shit was three-letter agency-tier; it's reminiscent of Cohen's neo-nazis, instead of the sensible National Socialism espoused by GLR. Oh well.
I do admit that the aftermath of wildfires is pretty spoopy, some STALKER stuff right there.
I've also heard that it's a normal occurrence every 100 years or so, but I guess these fires are special/worse than normal?

For anybody that wonders how this can happen, and are having a hard time picturing a fire spreading that fast here is a good reference video. It's a video from literally inside a fire, with similar conditions as what is happening in California:

So here I was thinking this was a time lapse. I check the bottom left corner and find out that this is actually in real time.
I saw a video of some southern American firefighters attempting to run from a fire. It came at them like a tsunami, at incredible speed, sadly they did not make it. I was flabbergasted to say the very least, with regards to the speed, so I looked it up. Now here I am, still stunned. Did not know it spread at such incredible speed ..

2 guys trying to get off a mountain during a fire in their truck. No death shown but It looked like a disaster movie as the dashcam shows them driving over brush fires and trying to find streets that are still passable as every house and tree on side of the roads are ablaze.
After we were stopped by the downed tree, we reversed back through all of this and were rescued by two park employees on a boat. They saved our lives."
I saw a video a while back of two guys trying to get off a mountain during a fire in their truck. No death shown but It looked like a disaster movie as the dashcam shows them driving over brush fires and trying to find streets that are still passable as every house and tree on side of the roads are ablaze.
At one point they get stuck behind a car stopped in front of some felled tree. Driver was froze and didn't want to damage his car. Pickup driver jumps out and has to scream at the guy to drive though it if he doesn't want to die.
Couldn't make sense of the URL of the video you tried to embed.
He was an older man that could not see and had just stopped. I had him pull over a little bit so we could pass, so that he could follow our tail lights down the mountain as a guide. He did and him and his car made it to safety.

Europe has it shit together, we clean forests regularly. Only fires that happen are gypsies burning trash. How the hell do you mismanage so badly that your whole country goes up in flames ? And other part almost gets flooded by a failing dam, as well as drain so much groundwater that you start sinking by 2cm a year

Keep thinking you're any better than the Cali libshits, Zig Forumstard.
With at least 29 fatalities as of Monday morning, the Camp Fire has become the state's deadliest wildfire on record since 1933. With more than 200 people still missing,

You can't compare California with Europe. It's a completely different climate. You're basically saying that you don't understand why the people in the Sahara have so much sand, that it must be their fault, because people don't have that much sand in Europe.

New World Order has been in place for years it is the United Nations of which America is a member for a long time which means you are and have been in the New World Order/World Government. Those white UN jets spraying America should have tipped you off years ago but It has not. Fires in California that are currently being video taped and placed on social media showing the laser beam coming down from the sky should also tip you off but again it has not. People being driven from their rural homes should have again, tipped you off but it has not. Agenda 21, 2030 and 2050 should have also tipped you off due to that it is happening and you fail to recognize it because you’re far too lazy to investigate on your own without being led by Q in a circle chasing your tail of which my dog is smart enough not to do. Your masters which are all the talking heads on the internet are paid to lead you astray and they’re doing a fantastic job of it. There is tons of info on the web about this to include interviews of US Government employees who lay this out in real terms that even you could understand but you wont go look it up because you’re trained not to. The UN has now come for the land of America. They want the natural resources therefore you will be depopulated from the surface of the land and they will continue bringing in the immigrants to help and creating a slave colony and will commence to strip the earth of it’s vast wealth and to strip Americans of their heritage through decimation. Q> Who is Q? A> UN Agent. You can despise Hillary all you want or any of the others and that is their plan to distract you from this knowledge so you remain stupid. Heather Nuerte the proposed new UN Ambassador is an active member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and Illuminati which you can look up for yourselves quite easily but you won’t because you’re brain washed to remain ignorant. Only allowing the information that (((they))) put into your head to exist there. Now that I have exposed (((The Plan))) to you it is time for you to go back to sleep. Your eyelids are getting heavy again, your breathing is slowing down as you slip into REM and now you are totally unconscious frozen into a state of ignorance of which will be your own demise as (((they))) continue wiping you from the land you call home. Erasing your children’s future right before your sleeping eyes.

Death toll hits 56 in California's Camp Fire as officials release list of unaccounted
Authorities searching through the blackened aftermath of California's deadliest wildfire Wednesday released the names of some 130 people who are unaccounted, including many in their 80s and 90s, and dozens more could still be unaccounted for. Officials in Northern California said Tuesday that search crews had found six more bodies, bringing the death toll from the so-called Camp Fire to 56 and the statewide total to 59

interior chief: Now is "not the time to point fingers"
U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said it's not the time to "point fingers" as he was visiting the aftermath of the "Camp Fire." Zinke lamented the destruction Wednesday and said there were many factors in wildfires, including rising temperatures.
"There's a lot of reasons for a fire," he said. "Now is really not the time to point fingers."
PG&E's stock lost more than 20 percent of its value Wednesday after the utility said it does not have nearly enough insurance coverage if it is found liable for the "Camp Fire." San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric Corp. told Wall Street regulators that if its equipment were found to have caused the fire that has ravaged the town of Paradise, it "could be subject to significant liability in excess of insurance coverage."
That would deal a major blow to the utilities' finances and operations, it said. It noted that investigators have not yet determined the cause of the blaze.
PG&E's stock fell $7.13 to close Wednesday at $25.69, a level it hasn't seen since 2003. It has lost 47 percent of its value since the fire broke out last week.
The company said it has wildfire liability insurance coverage of about $1.4 billion for the year that ends July 31, 2019. An analyst with Citi Investment Research estimates damages from the fire could exceed $15 billion but noted that the state of California "will likely step in to protect the utility and its customers.
Actor Liam Hemsworth posted a picture of the remnants of his Malibu house on Twitter on Tuesday. Scorched stones spelling the word "love" are surrounded by what was left after the "Woolsey Fire" hit the "Hunger Games" star's home.
"It's been a heartbreaking few days," Hemsworth said. "This is what's left of my house. Love."On Sunday, Miley Cyrus, who is reportedly Hemsworth's fiancee, said that she also lost her home, ET reports. Hemsworth said in another tweet Tuesday that he spent Monday in Malibu.
