USSA: Govt Considers Using TAXPAYER Funds To Bailout Insolvent College Students

HOW TO GET A DECENT PAYING JOB AND SAVE MONEY: >>>/prepare/40 | archive.fo/4vGvc

When all the tribes of Israel still lived in their holy land, they practiced something called the Jubilee.

According to the Book of Leviticus, the Jubilee existed because the Israeli land actually belonged to their god Yahweh…. and the current owners were just borrowing it (sounds like land ownership today – try not paying your property taxes and see who really owns your land).

So every 49 years, the Israelites would celebrate by freeing slaves, redistributing property and forgiving debts.

Of course, a 49-year cycle where debt is forgiven and land is returned to previous owners is ridiculous… markets can’t function under this system. Imagine buying a piece of land and not knowing if you have to give it back down the road… or lending someone money with the possibility that those debts just disappear and you get nothing back for the risk you took.

The Jubilee originated sometime around 1406 BC, so you would think it’s ancient history.

The US government is a record $21 trillion in debt and running $1 trillion annual deficits.

US corporations have a record $9 trillion in debt – with nearly half of that debt maturing in the next five years (meaning the businesses either have to roll that debt into a new loan or pay it back).

Consumer debt – which includes credit card debt, auto loans and student debt – is already at a record high and should pass $4 trillion in 2019.

But the largest portion of consumer debt is student debt. Yes, Americans have borrowed $1.5 TRILLION to earn degrees of questionable use.

As I wrote in a previous Notes:

According to the latest stats, the average student loan debt in the US is nearly $40,000. [INSANE!]

But that’s just average…

There are more than two million former students in the Land of the Free with more than $100,000 of debt… around 415,000 people have more than $200,000 of student debt.

And the US Department of Education guarantees 90% of that debt. Which means you, the taxpayer, guarantee that debt. If the borrower defaults, YOU’RE on the hook.

What are the chances millennials will make good on the debt? Not great…

According to a recent Fed study, millennials are much poorer and indebted than previous generations.

Get your " "free" " indoctrination degree, goyim! Even if you refuse, you're still paying the tab for the other good goyim!

How does one go about becoming a Chinese spy and betraying his nation?

I worked part time through college and never had to take a loan (Backelors in Information Systems). Zero debt. People are either lazy or stupid, actually both from my experience. Now the only debt I have is vehicle loans and the lease on my apartment. I'd probably have enough to afford a downpayment on a house by now if I didn't buy too many firearms.

You know what MAY be acceptable? Find out whether or not the parents promoted college, whether or not the parents convinced their kids to go there. IF they did, make them pay for half that debt! I'm serious, if you shill this CRAP, you should be the ones suffering from its bailout - NOT the hardworking taxpayers who decided to go to trade schools. Why should those people get stuck with debt?

Another idea: forgive the debt completely, NO bailouts and let the banks and universities BOTH go bankrupt! Now that's what I'd do if I were president!

you fucking retards the USA already uses taxpayer dollars to fund insolvent college student loans.
1.5 trillion of the US debt is purely from student loans that the government has purchased from creditor companies who finances said loans. The federal government ensures that these loans will be paid off because they exempt these loans from defaults, bankruptcies and collections settlements. The US annually spends money on the interest of those loans. It literally does not matter what you try to do if you, if you get a student loan you are stuck with it if you remain a citizen of the US or any country with treaties with the US for purposes of debt collection, you become a debt slave. Although many illogical fucktard dykes get useless english or "native studies" type underwater basketweaving degrees, this is overall incredibly predatory to people who are in some of the most easily manipulable, coerced and easy to brainwash stage of their lives. We should make it harder for those with aspirations that are not marketable, rather than punish all who do have aspirations equally.

Unless you did it 25 years ago, or somehow got a part-time job paying $30/hr, that's mathematically impossible.

And you fucking know it, you disingenuous Boomer shithead.

He likely went to community college, which is a better option than some overpriced leftist university. Whats better than both is a trade school, which is dirt cheap, and you only learn what you need to know for your career (some of those careers paying over 60K per year still).

"US lawmaker" means house member, because if it were a senator they'd just say senator. What comes out of their mouths is for the comedy section not the drama section.

The typical US representative is just a few corporations' hired operative to do their bidding. These people are the reason why proven bad laws stay on the books, why incredibly bad ideas always somehow have "no alternative," and why the US government has "pet projects" in 99.5% of all countries in the world. Pet projects and corporate backing are how legislators grow net worths of several dozen times their total collected salaries.

Bugeyes McRandomtalk will be worth hundreds of millions of dollars when she is old.

Student debt was imposed to destroy student political involvement as in the 70's. The few movements subsisting today are heavily biased on one side of the middle-east, with little to no room for debate or opposition on policies. That's pretty much what allowed them to do whatever they wanted for the last 40 years, it's not going to change any time soon. I recommend leaving instead of preparing (Jim or hotwheels style). Any time spent in a country that does not value you as a human being only encourages them to go further. You can't change the system, leave while you can.

I like to look at college vs trade school this way:

You need a shirt and a pair of pants. You have the option to go to some fancy clothing retail store to get a new $45 pare of jeans and a new $25 shirt. However you also have the option of getting a pair of used jeans (in good condition) for $5 and a collar shirt for $4.50 from Good Will. All you need the clothing for is to get through a lazy Sunday: doing some chores around the house, working in the garage, running a few errands and lounging in the afternoon. Now think of college and trade school in similar fashion: college being the expensive yuppie retail shop and trade school being the local Good Will. Which is a better deal? Personally I shop at Good Will and save my money ;)

They don't need student debt to destroy student political involvement. 90% parrot what the commie puppet tells them and the other 10% are hauled into show trials then shipped off to gulags.

The entire reason US student debt exists is because charge the government whatever they damn well feel like. The government happily pays this ever-rising fee and then acts as lordbanker over the student's head until they're over 50 years old. Then, the government jobs expect a degree as a condition of entry and so the central government is also the financial master of a rising share of the public.

Because Europe already works their whole lives for the benefit of others. There was nothing to change with new forms of herded mass usury.

The real solution is simple: hire professionals instead of babysat students to do government work. The work would be done better, the workers would have more money for their own lives, and the organs of government would be geared toward actual progress instead of just an eternal cycle of dependency and helplessness.

Did I say solution? I meant to say "thing we lost when the bankers took charge."

Might as well bankrupt the country sooner rather than later.

Even community colleges are expensive and getting more so. Especially because they typically don't offer scholarships to lighten the expense load, and almost never have cheap on-campus housing for students. In this day and age, who the fuck can afford JUST RENT on a part-time job?

Keep in mind that there are extreme downsides to attending college not as a "full-time student", which typically means classes three or four days per week. Being able to do so while also holding down a part-time job either means working through your entire weekend, or working on the same days as attending classes; and good fucking LUCK trying to convince a part-time employer to schedule your shifts around your classes! Is it possible to do this? Perhaps (too many variables depending mostly on geographic location and personal circumstance), but only when doing "work" for 80+hr weeks when you factor in studying and commute time. Just the sleep-deprivation alone will fuck your ability both in school and at work enough to make you fail at both of them.

This analogy is so shitty that it speaks volumes about your own educational level.

It's just for students who went to scam schools that closed down, you stupid faggots.

Normal idiots like myself who went to scam schools that DIDNT close down for being shit still get to carry that weight.

Indeed.
A toast to you, Sir.

This needs doing. It’s hard to believe I can go to a hospital and have 500k picked up by Medicaid for a week stay but they’re going to stick me with the responsibility of paying a debt I ran up over years!

Like, you’ll keep me alive and pump me full of exotic chemicals but you won’t nourish me on the best jewish literature and politicized, pulp history our civilization has to offer so I’m better at Outlook emails and meetings and stuff?

When will people learn… ?

That’s right, the Earth is flat. See and believe.

...

No, the earth is pear shaped… You're all fucking wrong all of the time… Goddamn conceited morons…

the moral here is to be a welfare leech. Why work hard for something that other people get for free?

Nice language, utter hypocrite. Ignorance and exclusivity of alternative viewpoints is chauvinistic, racist, and just plain ethically wrong. Grow up and clean your room, Bucko, because the rest of us can trust our own lying eyes as much as you can.

Socialism for universities and capitalism for students? Hey, you guys want another football stadium, maybe a cultural center furnished with lavish comforts? Raise tuition and fees. It’ll be okay. Open the doors to international students and run up the debt. It’ll be okay. We’re perfectly perfect in our mission to civilize, no level, the global youth. Fuck the natives.

That is to say, make you pay for their debt.

Why don't they just null the debt? The more chaos the better, after all, and it's not like the colleges can fight back when a real men's boots are in their mouths :^)

Indentured students will never contribute to the construction industry under these conditions and American infrastructure will suffer for it. Plus it’s terrible for morale to have these people working 15 and 20 years to service interest payments on indoctrination programs which never could, and frankly were never intended, to prepare them for adulthood in le current year. It is a matter of cleaning up corruption and moving on, not of personal responsibility—much too late for that narrative.

False

When boomers and lolbergs argue that people should pay the Federal Reserve back every penny, especially the ones that never existed even as loan principles, I have to laugh. You people are the best slaves anyone could ask for. “Please, keep my children under your yoke long after I’m dead.” Imbeciles. The colleges were infiltrated by the commies same as government and you are a lunatic to prescribe future generations the responsibility for making good on these unjust obligations to a pernicious, foreign enemy.

I just realized there are two entire seasons of Once Upon a Time streaming on Netflix that I’ve yet to see. Like that show.

Read a fucking book.

lolbergs are sometimes goldbugs, but their diatribes are weak on who owns all the precious metals. Boomers are the dimwitted John Wayne brained dickfucks calling for everyone to do as they say, not as they do. Those cunts gobbled up three generations’ worth of resources at least and swear up and down that it’s every bit as easy for their grandchildren. It is a generational bigotry unique to them and I don’t care that they only had televisions, not computers, to tell them about the oligarchs because they still had libraries and sent their children down the river anyway.

Good news for me kek

There is the libertarianism of the former WASP ruling class and the judaized Chicago School libertarianism of the boomer generation. You’re not fooling anyonw with your poorly defined ideological term, historically ignorant fuck. Boomers who didn’t stop the growth of this financial and revolutionary cancer are as guilty as muslim immigrants who don’t speak out against jihadis and jews who don’t protest immigration policy. You fucking worm people are responsible, not us, and its time you crawled on your fucking bellies for a change and let us move on. We’ll be better when you’re gone.

“Life was so hard for us. We only had the post-WWII industrial economy, national sovereignty, and a gold backed currency. We didn’t have an interconnected digital world with private central banks, a media matrix, and internet-based social engineering.” You freaks aren’t only sick, you’re sickening.

PCBs unmoored from gold backing. Between doing nothing about the 1913 Fed, nothing about Bretton Woods in 1944, and going off gold finally for petrodollars in 1974 you people screwed your children so damned hard they might no even exist in the near future. And you slimebags had it all. Cars, houses, travel, retirement. You took the bribe and destroyed your own nation.

1946-1964 called to remind you:

if you went to college you are officially more stupid than an auto mechanic with a GED.

he has real life skills, actual life experience, a good job providing steady work, and isn't so deep in debt he will transfer it to his progeny on death. you on the other hand have been taught a pack of lies and you believe them, and it cost you so much money you never had a plan to pay back, like an utter retard.

Strawman. Not all education is explicitly politicized indoctrination, some of it is socially or physically scientistic, mathematical, performative, and procedural.

You’re not even trying.

Much of it is politicized indoctrination today, of-course you can find certain courses that are not but I'm sure its not promoted to the masses anymore. If you can get a decent education without massive debt burden then all the luck to you.

I have 70k of debt and make 70k a year. It was worth it. Let everyone else get buried in it

That's not my point. My point is that it doesn't have to be political indoctrination to be useless education. It can be theoretical science being taught rather than experimental science. It can be mathematics taught to the test, or taught at such a pace as to forfeit the kinds of understanding that should develop alongside puzzle solving. It can be the teaching of practical skills in a limited way, or the teaching of skills businesses do not actually benefit from because while they have moved on, academia's close relationship with government ensures that they remain out of touch and unmotivated to improve professional outcomes. It can be the teaching of software applications, policy, or structural systems which are antiquated and not metaphorically consistent with, again, the national/international economy.

Unfortunately, I think the poster I initially responded to thinks an auto mechanic with a GED is more useful to the economy, and apparently that he/she doesn't need additional ASE certification and is immune to increasing computerization and automation of electrical systems. But basically, that a mechanic is more useful because all that goes on at university is the teaching and bolstering of "left wing" political theory. The poster is obviously uninformed and unable to dig more deeply into the greater context of the pervasive social system that is education. Instead, they blame the victim for lacking "real life skills" (whatever that means, since getting your future wrecked by usurers is a life lesson like few others), for not having a good job with steady work because their GED and experience alone are enough to ensure it, for being deeply in debt through college study, and for the aforementioned proving to him that the victim is "retarded."

Know what? I think the guy I responded to might be a little bit "retarded."

Twisting a wrench isn't necessarily some great skill. You start out doing oil changes, work your way up to light R&R, play around with the multimeter, and work your way steadily inside the larger component parts if it is justifiable on those particular makes and models to do internal repairs rather than, say, a longblock replacement or whatever. But clearly the poster has a hard on for the physical agony of the work, or the potential dirtiness of repairing automobiles, as if physically grueling work is more useful than careful thinking and creative innovation that go into other types of industries that employ white collar workers.

I can only speculate. But to me this is a very poor argument. Besides, I don't appreciate him blaming 18 year olds for getting into debt when our system should be looking out for their well being.

yea but muh bootstraps. i had it hard and resent anyone having an easier upbringing

How is one thing easier than another if we're all different and some better able to do X than another, who is better able to do Y?

Yeah, things are getting physically more bearable as development continues, though not without caveat. But I question the motive when someone says they had a hard, miserable life and therefore so should you–because better fortune or choices were never a question for the bootstraps guy. Please, if he won a lottery he would find something else to do that was more in line with his talents than his circumstances or choices formerly allowed.

its the victim complex at work. they feel like they need the handouts for suffering while someone who hasn't had the chance to suffer doesn't deserve anything and should suffer too

Well, they have something in common with the student who attended university for 4-7+ years paying a heavy opportunity cost and absorbing information (in short, suffering) in an earnest attempt to make themselves worthy of the society they were born into, only to be left for dead, so to speak, by people who had better connections, better opportunity, lived someplace that was a better fit, and so on. Granted, I know I'm not characterizing the majority of young under 25s who go to college but presenting an ideal of someone who would have suffered greatly under this preparatory system, and apparently not within any rights so ever to expect an inclusive environment someplace that will have them after they have undergone said suffering.

More or less, he's lamenting a wasted life. But what is the prescription underlying that? Therefore we should each and all become mechanics because he did, or because he wishes that's what he would have done? Totally irrational.

How long will it take you fagboats to realize that lolbergs are a very small minority on this site and appealing to muh statism wont impress either Zig Forums or Zig Forums?

1: Federal government plays the banker on student loans.
2: Government jobs usually require a degree.
3: Therefore, you're paying your salary to government before you even get it.

Psychology majors blown all the way out of the solar system.

The problem isn't universities. The problem is irresponsible borrowing.

I mean the handout everyone gets for suffering is social security, in the form either of SSDI or SSI. If you make it to retirement without getting sick, it's a much nicer bonus for a productive life, and you should be glad you made it. SSI is compensation for ongoing, unending suffering and usually requires repayment by donation of one's body to medical or psychiatric science.

The difference, far as I can see, is that said person is pissed because he thought he earned a lot more than he got back, or will get back. But the young student out of work cannot even enjoy the peace of mind he was able to take for granted. So, yeah, blaming the victim seems out of bounds.

Irresponsible lending. Predatory lending.

It's not the casino's fault you gambled your paycheck away.
It's not the brewer's fault you drank yourself into debt.
It's not the landlord's fault you couldn't pay your rent.
It's not the burger joint's fault you got fired for not showing up.
It's not the gun manufacturer's fault you shot yourself in the balls.
It's not the electrician's fault you stuck a knife in the power outlet.

Ok, this idiot again. Nevermind.

Basically this.

If the modern world in its national and geopolitical complexity is something an 18 year old is responsible for navigating even before their brain finishes forming, you had better do a better job of educating them than "I'm busy taking personal responsibility for my material affairs, pick up a trade, kid."

Attached: why-havent-you-prepared-for-ww3-yet-ron-paul-im-6260106.png (498x532, 395.5K)

Its both: irresponsible borrowing AND predatory lending. Those borrowers should be bankrupted and the bankers in prison!

I favor restoring bankruptcy protection to student loans under severe conditions, not socializing education but replacing it with apprenticeship training in specific cases and internet/library study in most others. There is simply no need for such a bureaucratic behemoth in the present day.

Oh, but some boomer will shreik at what this does to the value of his jewish fiat! It's ideologically offensive!

She sheer hypocrisy of these people who can file for bankruptcy on their homes, their doctor bills, auto loans, credit cards, you name it, but won't grant the same to a young person who made a bad investment in what they hoped would be job training. Inexcusable.

The*

You may have a point there,I'm sure the fiscal issues would have to be discussed and would be up for debate, not too sure the ramifications, but you know what, our govt does waste a whole lot of money on unnecessary junk so maybe we could cut and allocate some money from the bureaucracies to a national student bankruptcy settlement program.

This.

No they're not. The fucking books cost more than the classes. These kids had to go where their peers were going so they could fuck off get plastered and do fraternity / sorority shit. They wasted their parent's money and now they're unemployable because they majored in humanities or some other retarded shit. It's their own fucking fault and they need to take responsibility for pissing other people's money away.

Here the cc is 111/credit plus fees. Books are 40-120usd. That’s if you can’t digital copies. You’re full of it.

You just repeated what I said, then said I was full of it. Are you being intentionally retarded? $100 per class is nothing.

They can file for bankruptcy dumbass. They don't get to walk away from the consequences and deserve to get fucked up the ass just like the boomers who do it too.

If this country cared about markets, freedom, and free speech it would retire the state universities, both 2 and 4 year. We’d have ivies, but their endowements are so big that if you get in on merit it’s often paid for and no need to borrow. I don’t know from experience, but that is an anecdote I’ve heard.

But government should not be educating or underwriting educational loans.

As a representative democratic republic these situations probably wouldn’t be happening. Oligarchy is what’s probably driving these bad policies, made far worse by corporate global reach.

all that money you got stashed under yor mattress

just a sittin' thar

I dont need ta worry bout no entry-point fortification.

Me and my kin just wait fur you ta come outten and BANG, right tween da eyes

You said the classes are less expensive than the books. Read your own nonsense. The classes are verifiably far more expensive than the books, retard nigger. Also, it’s 111/credit, not class. One class can be 4 credits or more. Need me to do addition for you?

No one can file for bankruptcy on a student loan. Learn to web search or just fucking kill yourself. You haven’t earned the right to an opinion.

They're not. Once you get the basic shit out of the way the books become even more expensive $200-$500. You might pay $40 for remedial class books. That's it.

"its only 300-400 dollars per class and per book! you only need this x6 to finish in any remotely reasonable amount of time!" what's $4,200 a semester + rent + bills + food on a part time job salary? fucking kill yourself you stupid nigger. It is 100% NOT AFFORDABLE and it has everything to do with the currency and the fact that is is constantly devalued and almost everything isn't affordable at this point.

You’re pathetic. No one’s paying 500$ for a single textbook. For all the books, yes, though it is more likely to be expensive up front and cheaper going forward. Upper division educators don’t use the shiny new book in the plastic wrap that was revised this year with three lines of text as a rule. But 500$ compared to 444$ per class, and most programs require 4 classes a quarter? Idiot that you are, you’re still in dreamland.

Shit it's even less than I remembered. You guys must live in shitty states.

Attached: Screenshot_2019-01-02_15-55-58.png (589x562, 44.25K)

Yeah we don't live in Cambodia I guess…

Now add in fees, living expenses, and opportunity cost.

Still not likely able to afford to go full time and work part time job and live… but that is insanely cheap compared to where I live.

I didn't notice it's per credit hour and classes can be more than one credit hour. The cost is still cheap and will eventually be cheaper than the books as you advance. My sister paid over $1k for some of her medical books and this was over a decade ago. Unfortunately books will be expensive no matter where you go.

Market doesn’t set prices. Centralized control dictates what and how much.

Look, vice and vanity are not reasons why young people enroll in educational programs unless they already have a bad character. The country has been industrializzed and has let its public infrastructure go to appalling shit. Kids are trying to find a place in the service economy, whatever that is, while putting up with H1B scam, illegal immigration, outsourcing, gig economy bullshit. There’s not an easy path for them to reach the middle class so they tend to roll the dice in hopes that they manage to get one of these elite jobs for the highly specialized or well connected. That is not an unethical way to look at the situation, and I think the adults have let them down by ceasing to care about America as a nation of people. The youth are yet abother consumer category for criminal financiers to parasite off of. I’m not holding deeply indebted students responsible for having to learn the hardest possible way that they are destined to live much worse than their parents. Not a chance. And fuck the system that made these consequences inevitable. Burn it down so that our progeny may live.

de-industrialized. Sorry, too many distractions.

My point with vice and vanity is that these are often reasons why grown adults get into financial dire straits. Too big a house, more than one, too many toys, too much overindulgence. We grant bankruptcy protection to these people although their problems arrived on our doorstep due to foul character. Not always, no, but often. But our somewhat intelligent, forward thinking young people who volunteered for years of sacrifice and a strenuous mental beating, they can get fucked? Should have joined up to die for Israel and petrodollars instead? Come on.

Umm, the occasion here is a court ordering Betsy DeVos to forgive $150 million in debt owed by students who were attending schools that filed for bankruptcy. Like ITT. You know. The trade school?

We are White, reinvent science and get those White kids out of this shithole.
I am helping here and there Whats stopping You?
