A Minnesota man called police after he allegedly killed his wife to admit what he had done, just months after she filed for divorce, officials said.
Matthew Jansen, 46, called 911 on Friday night to report that he had fatally shot his wife, Mary Jo Jansen, the Star Tribune reported, citing a criminal complaint.
Police in Anoka reportedly entered Jansen's house and found his wife's body with gunshot wounds. Investigators also said they found an unloaded handgun and its receipt.
Jansen, according to the complaint, told officers that he was surprised he proceeded with the alleged homicide. He reportedly told them: "I guess I don't have to worry about a divorce."

Also, many times the woman takes out a restraining order, besides your guns being taken away it's piss easy to get a felony on your record that way. Had a cousin who was damn near ruined that way too. Worst part is courts can determine you're not paying enough support be it child support or alimony based on wages while married and can order you to work more/make more, how you do it is your problem. Failure to do this = jail + a record, good luck getting a job then. The stress plus the anger from all this really does push some men over the edge. That being said, you do have one option with a criminal record, file for disability. Felons do it all the time, simply try for autism bux if all else fails. It's a lot harder but considering your life is over at this point you have nothing to lose. Also, unlike divorce disability does get you something, with the former you're just fucked for good.
