Your average American today has a harder time coming across housing, medical services, long-term employment, public services like transportation, etc. than they did even just 30 years ago, because the distribution of the method of acquiring these things (money) is being skewed more and more towards the people who need it least (the ultra-rich.)
There are objective solutions to the problems facing our civilisation today (climate change, housing shortages, health crises, and so on), but so long as the means to fix them remain in the hands of the cold, disinterested oligarch class, the more they'll go on unaddressed, and the more likely mass bloodshed will break out.

*Loans. College loans are killing this generation and around 1/2 are in default?
