A School System is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Pre-Kindergarten program now through March 22.
Approximately 1,300 children are expected to register for Pre-K, the district says.
Pre-K students must be four years of age on Sept. 1, 2019. Children who will be 5-years-old on Sept. 1, 2019, and are not currently enrolled in one of the school district’s Pre-K classrooms, should register as a kindergarten student for the 2019-2020 school year.
Application registration takes place at the Central Registration office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Wednesdays, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Applicants will be entered into a computer system for a lottery drawing giving no priority. All Pre-K applications submitted by March 22 will have an equal chance of computer selection, regardless of the application date. Parents will be notified by mail of acceptance or waiting list status by mid-May.
