FACT: you don't know jack fucking shit about
immunology or internal medicine
I'm not being an asshole, and I'm not insulting you. I'm simply stating an obvious fact.
You didn't go to college, you don't have any degrees in internal medicine, and you have no background of research in immunology whatsoever.
So you've got no place pretending like you are an immunology expert, and you've got no right pretending like you understand internal medicine.
I understand that you are concerned about the topic, and that you have doubts about the efficacy of the vaccinations (you and millions of other people who have no understanding about immunology) so I respect your position of distrust, no matter how unfounded it may be.
To be quite candid, the only thing you know about vaccinations, the mechanism of action (and the components) is what you read on paranoid conspiracy theory websites.
None of the people who create those paranoid conspiracy theory websites have medical degrees, nor do they have any knowledge of immunology.
They simply post words like 'mercury', trying to be alarmist, while they are completely incapable of explaining the exact physiological mechanism of mercury that makes it a danger.
The day that you get your degree in internal medicine is the day that your opinions are going to carry weight, but until that day comes, you are a layman, a reactionary, an alarmist, yet painfully uneducated in this particular field.
to be succinct, you have absolutely no background in immunobiology, so your fears and opinions mean absolutely nothing.
There are middle-aged housewives watching Dr. Phil right now who know more about immunobiology than you ever will.
bump
While I agree with everything Johnny said here, and I do not think living my life in fear and paranoia, or spreading fear porn everywhere like Killcen does (sorry, buddy, but the TRUTH Hurts – it's fucking FEAR PORN you are spreading, Killcen)
I Am NOT Going to Vaccinate My Children.
One is over 18, never been sick, told the school to fuck off herself once they tried to force her into this shit once she turned 18, the other one is 16, never been sick, and they can fuck right off if they think I won't just immediately go back to home schooling! Nobody is going to enforce what I can and can't put in my body, or the bodies of my children. That is the entire point. I am pro-freedom. They have the right to run their little slave-farms the way they want. I do not need to participate, nor do my children. The anti-vaxxers have a point though. If the vaccines actually were efficacious, then those who got the shot wouldn't have to worry so much about the rest of us. This whole "herd-immunity" argument is obviously bad science, as it is IMPOSSIBLE to prove. Besides the scientific method being complete bunk anyway, because there cannot possibly be such thing as a "repeatable experiment", since ALL variable can NEVER be accounted for! But that's just me taking you all out into left field for a momentary romp! The fact remains that some people forcing other people to do anything against their will is going to piss me off, and I will suspect anyone trying to do that of all kinds of nefarious shit, because they're already starting out on the wrong foot! Convince me! Don't force me! This is my first year of having my kids in public school and I will pull them from the public school system again in a heartbeat if this shit gets pulled here. If you want to be a slave that is your business, but you will not enslave me or my children.
This is now a RAGE thread..
agreed… completely…..
and I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a degree in internal medicine or immunobiology, either….
I didn't even go to high school, so I'm the first one to admit that I am uneducated…..
And my children did not receive vaccinations either… (not because I necessarily believe there is a massive conspiracy to give children Mercury, or an even more realistic yet seemingly far-fetched possibility that they're using nanotech)
I simply decided against it based on my layman's knowledge about the efficacy and necessity…
I was reassured by my children's pediatrician that vaccinations are an 'umbrella treatment', where if 70% of the population is vaccinated, it will protect the other 30%.
He had no problem with my decision.
……and yes, we have had this conversation before
so of course you already know that I'm going to tell you my children are healthy as shit!! They are perfect specimens, and never get sick.
