Personally, I think the whole student loan debt issue is all due to racketeering by banks and universities. What needs to happen is corrupt players need to be arrested, universities engaged in overpricing (and fraud) should be shut down and RICO'd with many of the debts forgiven depending on what kind of degrees individuals actually got.
