HaHaHa Notre Dame Cathedral Goes Up In Flames!! LOL

PARIS — The iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris caught fire Monday, police said.

“Notre Dame Fire in progress,” police said on Twitter. “Avoid the area and facilitate the passage of emergency vehicles and intervention of the @prefpolice.”

Images showed a large plume of smoke billowing near its spire.

A man who has been arrested following fires at three historically black churches is the son of a sheriff’s deputy who authorities believe may have been influenced by “black metal music”.

Governor Jon Bel Edwards announced that 21-year-old Holden Matthews had been arrested in connection to those fires, which impacted three churches over a ten day period.

The medieval cathedral was completed in the 13th Century and today, with its towers, spire, flying buttresses and stained glass, is considered a feat of architecture as much as a religious symbol.

It is one of Paris’ most popular attractions, drawing an estimated 13 million visitors a year.

CATHOLIC PRIESTS IN a Polish city burned a number of books they claim are sacrilegious over the weekend, including some from the popular Harry Potter and Twilight series.

In a Facebook post showing photographs of the public book burning, priests in the city of Koszalin quoted Old Testament passages. They urged believers to destroy the enemies of God, telling them to “burn their idols in the fire”.

What's inside the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris
Emanuella Grinberg-Profile-Image1

l
(CNN)The cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris is home to numerous artifacts, works of art and religious relics that each tell a story.
As a devastating fire tore through the cathedral on Monday, toppling its spire, many feared the items – collected over the centuries – might be lost.
Fire at Notre Dame cathedral
Here's an overview of some of the revered Gothic cathedral's most noteworthy features.
• The Great Organ has been replaced and updated several times throughout history. The position of titular organist, or head organist, carries great prestige in France and around the world.

The master organ is used for public services

• The Rose Windows are a trio of immense round windows over the cathedral's three main portals.

A view of the middle-age stained glass on the northern side of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.
• Numerous sculptures, statues and paintings inside the cathedral depict Biblical scenes and saints.
One series of 76 paintings, each nearly four meters tall, commemorates the New Testament's Acts of the Apostles, including the crucifixion of St. Peter and the conversion of St. Paul. The works were completed between 1630 and 1707 by the members or associates of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture.
Another painting is from a series by Jean Jouvenet depicting the life of the Virgin Mary. All six from the series used to be in the cathedral. They were moved to the Louvre in the 1860s, and only "The Visitation" was returned to Notre Dame.
• The twin bell towers, first constructed in the 13th century, were the tallest structures in Paris until the completion of the Eiffel Tower in the late 19th century.

• The cathedral's main bell, Emanuelle, has marked significant moments in French history, such as the end of World War II, as well as holidays and special occasions.

Macron said a national fundraising campaign to restore Notre Dame would be launched Tuesday and he called on the world's "greatest talents" to help.

"Let's be proud, because we built this cathedral more than 800 years ago. We've built it and, throughout the centuries, let it grow and improved it, so I solemnly say tonight: we will rebuild it together," he said.

The French leader credited the "courage" and "great professionalism" of firefighters with sparing Notre Dame's facade and two landmark towers from being destroyed.

However, Gallet said two-thirds of Notre-Dame's roofing "has been ravaged." One firefighter was injured, he said.

Gallet said fire crews will keep working overnight to cool down the structure.

Junior Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said late Monday that authorities remain "prudent" but are "much more optimistic" than earlier in the night.

The mayor of Paris said the neighbourhood closest to Notre-Dame Cathedral has been evacuated.

Mayor Anne Hildago said the significant collection of art work and holy objects kept inside the church has been recovered.

barring any heat stress in the stone walls from the heating and cooling process during the fire fighting, most of it aside from the roof structure which was wood, should survive fairly well. Fires from negligence and lighting were not uncommon and the buttress walls were designed to stay. Side point, since it's come up in this thread. I hate religious zealots. The ones that come to your door trying to sell you religions, or pass you pamphlets. Hate that thing. I already have a religion, thank you. But you know who I hate MORE? Atheists! They are even more rabid than the worst religious zealot and sadder, because their whole existence is them being pissed off that someone ELSE believes in something. Their lives revolve around what someone else thinks. Its sad. A religious person may attempt to convert you, you say no thanks and they move on, but an atheist will argue until they're blue in the face and won't accept no for an answer. The dumbest, most unambitious people I know are atheists, and I do my best to stay away from them, because you could be talking about something completely unrelated, like say, star wars, and they'll immediately go on a rant "I believe in midichlorians before I believe in jesus!" and everyone just rolls their eyes - here we go again!

The cause of the massive blaze that engulfed the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is under investigation, authorities said Monday as firefighters continued to work to save the world-famous landmark.

But some experts said the extensive renovations going on at the historic building could have contributed to the fire.

There is a history of churches, synagogues and temples going up in flames while under repair, said Glenn Corbett, an associate professor of fire science at John Jay College in New York.

Notre Dame, which was built in the 12th and 13th centuries, has a wooden roof.
The 850 year history that went up in flames in the Notre Dame fire

"If there is a most vulnerable time for a church, it is when it is under construction because we get people who are using torches or welding or cutting, that are of course sources of ignition, to set the wood roof structure on fire," Corbett said, noting that the interior of the Paris cathedral was covered in scaffolding when the fire began at about 6:50 p.m. local time Monday, near the start of Holy Week.

Basically this.
As much as I would feel bad that a mooslime torched the joint, I don't have any sympathy for them because
1. christians as a whole have caused mass death and destruction and are solely responsible for the dark ages and were the ones who enslaved and tortured European pagans to death for refusing to convert to (((cuckstianity)))
and
2. because those filthy niggers cucks invited in their mortal enemy to show the world how "tolerant" they are.

Cathedral In The Thrashing Rain - Poem by KotaroTakamura

(O mata fukitsunoru ame kaze.)
O another deluge of wind and rain.
Collar turned up, getting drenched in this splashing rain,
and looking up at you – it's me, …
it's that Japanese.
This morning
about daybreak the storm suddenly went violent, terrible,
and now is blowing through Paris from one end to the other.
I have yet to know the directions of this land.
(O mata fukitsunoru ame kaze.)
I don't even know which way this storm is facing. …
Only because even today I wanted to stand here
and look up at you, Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris,
I came, getting drenched,
only because I wanted to touch you,
only because I wanted to kiss your skin, the stone, unknown to anyone.
O another deluge of wind and rain.
Though it's already time for morning coffee,
a little while ago I looked from the Pont-Neuf,
the boats on the Seine were still tied up to the banks, like puppies.
The leaves of the gentle plane trees shining in their autumn colors on the banks
are like flocks of buntings chased by hawks. …
The chestnut trees behind you,
each time their heads … get mussed up,
starling-colored leaves dance up into the sky. …
All the square is like a pattern,
filled with flowing silver water, and isles of golden-brown burnt-brown leaves.
Then there's the noise of the downpour resounding in my pores.
It's the noise of something roaring, grinding. …
With golden plane tree leaves falling all over my coat,
I'm standing in it.
Storms are like this in my country, Japan, too.
Only, we don't see you soaring.
O Nootorudamu, Nootorudamu …
O Notre-Dame, Notre-Dame,
rock-like, mountain-like, eagle-like, crouching-lion-like cathedral,
reef sunk in vast air,
square pillar of Paris,
sealed by blinding splatters of rain, …
O soaring in front, Notre-Dame de Paris,
it's me, …
it's that Japanese.
My heart trembles now that I see you.
Looking at your form like a tragedy,
a young man from a far distant country is moved.

O another deluge of wind and rain. …
Only the gargoyles …
raise their paws, crane their necks,
bare their teeth, blow out burning fountains of breath. …
O nanto iu ame kaze no shuuchuu.
O what a concentration of wind and rain. …
How is the rooster at the top of the tall slender steeple doing? …
O mata fukitsunoru ame kaze.
O another deluge of wind and rain.
Sono naka de hasseikikan omomi ni gasshiri to tatsu katedoraru …
A cathedral standing in it
solid with the weight of eight centuries,
a mass of millions of stones piled and carved by believers of old.
A great scaffold for truth, sincerity, eternity.
You stand wordless. …
You know the strength of nature's force …
O cathedral in the thrashing rain …
… wind and rain that took a breath and has driven itself harder,
all the instruments of the heavens gone berserk,
the dance swirls around …
O cathedral, …
you who watch motionless the houses of Paris suffering the storm,
please do not think me rude,
who, hands on your cornerstone,
has his hot cheek pressed on your skin,
it's me, the drunken one.
It's that Japanese.

If you could see what I have seen, maybe you’d understand,

It takes a special kind of person, who opts to make a stand.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d have a ringside seat to life,

It is not always full of sugar and roses, often there is strife.

If you could see what I have seen, the holidays aren’t always merry,

We labor day in and day out, always to protect your family.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand the cost,

That consumes a loving mother, when her 2 year old is lost.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand their pain,

When you tell his parents in the middle of the night that his death was not in vain.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand the grief,

The entire family suffers from what he injects underneath.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d opt to go in,

Because you know that someone is trapped from within.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d know a family’s care,

Reading the last message on her cell phone, knowing she is not there.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d recognize it in her eyes,

When that child speaks, you’re the only one not surprised.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d chase him near and far,

For what he did to that little boy, left a huge emotional scar.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand the truth,

The media paints a picture that is erroneous and uncouth.

If you could see what I have seen, you might choose other work,

Because you’d feel that this one takes much more than it is worth.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d experience the uncertainty,

While my family waits to hear from me, knowing it’s often dirty.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d help to lead the way,

Hoping to ensure that everyone goes home that day.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d know there are miracles all around,

And realize your daily sacrifice, helps communities abound.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand his will,

When a 9 year old loses his father, the impact is forever still.

If you could see what I have seen, the stories are all true,

But the scars are not always visible, not even to you.

If you could see what I have seen, you’d understand what I do,

It’s not in vain, the reason is simple; I do it all for you.

They don't have the crown of thorns, but not for the Dwakensite teen atheist shit you're claiming there. There was a crown of thorns from the San Chapelle in Paris, found by Helena the mother of the Emperor Constantine in Jerusalem. It was the property of the French royal family who bought it off a Venetian pawnbroker after the German Mercenary who looted it from Byzantium ran out of cash and had to flog it. The San Chapelle was designed to turn Paris into the centre for European pilgrimage by collecting as many Catholic relics in one place as possible (because do you have any idea how much money would be involved in a few hundred thousand people coming into your city for religious purposes every few months?). When it failed to do that though the French Royalty started cutting pieces off the crown to give as gifts to family and friends, the chunk of crown that was left in Paris was destroyed by the French Revolution (who were pretty hardcore anticlerical) so that the only surviving bit in Paris was the cushion it sat on and some ash. The largest surviving pieces of the crown are located in the cathedral at Ghent and a Britbong boarding school. If you ever want to see it then Ghent is your best bet.

Plenty of lazy dipshits use iPhones and stream shit all day long. Matter of fact you're more likely to be a drain on society relying on all that crap 24/7. When I go online its to read, post news and comment here. That, and using some p2p networks. That doesn't take all day, it doesn't mean I'm dependent on anyone either. Use some common sense. Buy a cheap flip phone if you need to make calls. Don't allow yourself to be ripped off by shitty ISP contacts or 'premium' 'Xtra awesome' services you don't really need in the first place. If you do, its your own fault.

Simple ethernet modem with a decent speed works just fine. So does a cheap flip phone that costs no more than $20 per month.

Burning of the Talmud in Paris, 1242 as antithetical to Jewish life in a Christian country:

"The statuary on the outside of many a Gothic cathedral includes two female figures representing respectively the “Church Triumphant” and the “Synagogue,” with blindfolded eyes, “Defeated.” A tremendous, if inadvertent, piece of irony is contained in this tableau, for if ever an institution preserved itself by the exercise of clear vision, and by seeking the light, it was the medieval synagogue."

plenty of lazy dipshits
Plenty of lazy, dipshit people use Androids and flip phones too. What tracking device you carry in your pocket has zero correlation with IQ as far as I know. As for streaming, what if I'm streaming intelligent content? You demonize the medium and give it primacy over every message it conveys out one side of your mouth, and out the other have the nerve to claim, as you have in other threads, that the internet is somehow special to legacy technologies? Okay.

more likely to be a drain on society
Citation needed if you're making a probabilistic claim rather than sharing a simple belief. That said, no one streams 24/7. There's always other things that we do, no matter how much we like the internets. Ridiculous. I could say more here, but there's still so far to go with you.

when I go online
You live online, Killcen. No one is more disingenuous about the old Us vs Them schtick than you. You are the epitome of a hypocrite here. You use p2p to download music, movies, tv, smut, modern literature, whatever. That's the same shit those you demonize are doing even if they do it fro a subscription service like good goyim. It doesn't need to take all day to do these things, but in your case it takes most of it. This is a fact you can accept or deny, but I know better.

not dependent
My reference to neetdom was about the necessity of leaving home and what we do with our downtime. Having ubiquitous information comes with the necessity of consuming it constantly in order to keep up with others, whether it be for the sake of waging culture war against each other, knowing the state of national and world affairs, or simply being responsible. It's not a take-it-or-leave-it-literature, and I question anyone who breaks their tie to the grid when it is a competitive advantage to stay connected and in any case you're being spied on nevertheless through your flip, traffic cameras, satellites, etc.

ISP contracts, premium Xtras
You didn't lay your own fiber optic cables did you? Are those your undersea cables connecting the earth's continents? If you do business with those same people, they're going to buttfuck you. They rape everyone, large and small. Fuck yourself, liar.

fault
This is an oversimplification. We are all dependent, whether it be on a bank, a system of highways and commerce, air trees water animals, whatever. You didn't escape, and neither did anyone else tooting his horn about things like sovereignty and self-reliance, because if they had you'd never hear from them again.

simple modem, 20$ flip
The simple system works fine, FOR YOU. But you don't use it for work, do you? And that 20$ flip proves you have neither professional or familial responsibilities coming through your lines of comunication because even Ting charges more than that if you cross 1000 minutes or 1000 texts a month.

Fuck you, larping turd.

Streaming shit when you are paying for limited bandwidth usage is fucking stupid. In fact, streaming is completely stupid unless you have a contract for unlimited bandwidth usage. Most old contracts are by default unlimited when it comes how much you want to download/upload or stream content, just hope you know that by now.

As far as how much I use the internet that all depends on day to day. Once in a while I stay online all day. Often I take breaks. Sometimes, like yesterday, I'm busy with other things. It all depends really, and since I'm retired with nothing better to do 80% of the time, I enjoy going on here and pissing people off. As far as p2p I just connect to a few platforms and leave it on most the time, unless I desire to unplug the connection physically. No big deal.

ISP contacts, yes. Everyones got something. I got an old contract, unlimited bandwidth. Its not too fast, but guess what? It don't need to be! It works just fine and doesn't cost me more than $60 per month. In fact, I can download most media pretty fast with what I have, and its an old contract that I never updated!

As far as the flip phones, they work fine! I don't even text on mine! I just use it to make calls, or get calls and thats it. Nothing to it. Never been bothered once! Its unlimited and cheap as hell as far as I'm concerned. You know what costs a LOT? iPhones and landlines! And back in the day when there was only landlines they'd pick your pockets for a simple long distance call! Not anymore they don't! So a cheap flip phone is the best option you can get, and cheapest.

Why are you telling me your life story as though it's proof of your bullshit argument? Anecdotes make poor evidence. And I don't need your pedantry. You've scarcely little to teach me.

muh old contract
Do you even realize what a fraud you are? You own land, have stability in your life, you're on retirement. You benefit from the system you rail against every minute you're here. It treated you just fine. I think you're weak-minded as a result, but someone your age might think you've come a long way from what you believed in your youth. Try and remember your vast "archives" of truth don't adequately apply to the present predicament.

phone
Why do you go on and on about your phone when the point I made was that you're under surveillance regardless. This is an open air prison and we're all in digital handcuffs no matter what technologies we consent to use. I asked what you're doing to maintain your awareness and defend your competitive advantage. Say an asteroid was about to hit. Without your flip phone you'd be a dead man for sure, hypothetically, so of course you carry one. That's what makes you a hypocrite, because you say you don't need the system but you make as much use of it as anyone else even if you don't like the character of what's popularly adopted or what the latest fad is. There was a time when flip phones were the latest fad, and p2p was a brand new protocol. Well, at some point you were converted. You can't live without it.

Go on being incorrigible until you turn blue. You are absolutely full of shit, man.

Well I wasn't talking about spying, I was talking about saving money this time. Yes, flip phones will definitely save you money. You may not be able to play games on them, or text, or stream online content, but they are great for the intended purpose of any phone: making and receiving calls!

The system is still the same. Same Constitution, same form of government. It's only that it's gone imperial and different nations are in competition for control of those parts of it that do not relate to finance or foreign policy, since that portion is off limits to democratic process.

Again with the phone. Yes, you can save 10$ a month on metered flip phone service. But is it really worth having a discussion about Verizon and Sprint charging 30-35$ for unlimited calling and text versus Ting charging 20$ for, say, 1000 minutes and 1000 texts? I don't consider it an important topic.

Samuel Moore
Samuel Moore

No, its really NOT the same. Back in the day, we had productive industries all over the country, places to work for a decent living wage were all over the God damn place. That changed within the 90s, as outsourcing picked up steam. Back in the day, the government receiving a $1 Billion dollar budget was almost UNTHINKABLE. It would have been absurd to go into that much debt…. today we go over $1 Trillion in debt PER YEAR. Back in the day, mass government spying issues created an uproar (and back then it was over the FBI collecting some outdated information about past employment work on suspects)…. now days they not only wiretap everything, we have Big Tech companies selling all that info all over the world…… back then, men were men and women were women! Period, end of story! Back then, there were morals. There was a sense of obligation and ethics. Back then families were protected and encouraged, and parents were the ones making the parental decisions (not the government or the school systems)!

Let me tell you something: THIS IS NOT THE OLD AMERICA TODAY! Not the America I grew up in, no way!!

Chase Jones

Oh, sure, the culture has changed. We're deindustrialized and our intellectual property's been exported to Eurasia, our hard assets sold off piecemeal to the oligarchs of other nations. But it's our system that has allowed for this, not its overthrow.

Well the US was sold out by corrupt interests, with the help of corrupted politicians over the years. None of our foreign policies make any sense anymore. They don't benefit us in any way. You take a look at all the treason that has been allowed to happen to subvert and even destroy our nation, it all goes 100% unpunished. Is anyone going to investigate those massive unprecedented 'cyclone bombs' devastating the whole mid-west? Thats clearly geo-engineered by some kind of State power! We have corporate media that lies through their teeth spreading FUD 24/7. We have bureaucrats in this country trying to disarm American citizens!

Let me tell you something, the threat is no longer Russia or China. The threat is coming right from the ones who have hijacked and now have full control over our government. Thats the real threat we face today. Enemies within!

Samuel Torres
Samuel Torres

It still is, for now. But thats currently changing, there are many powers around the world working right now to change this, and replace this current trade standard. It will take another 5 years or so, but its being addressed, and the replacement system is being rolled out and tested right now. Give it another 5 to 10 years and NO we will not have a reserve currency status anymore.

Jonathan Sanchez
Jonathan Sanchez

Our foreign policies make perfect sense when you understand that the international jewish mafia that prints our money determines it. But the politicians aren't corrupted so much as they are frontmen for the US' actual leadership. Immoral, sure, but all empires are from the perspective of their victims just like all rich and powerful oligarchs are from the perspective of the People.

Your weather warfare speculations are quite off the mark since they're non-falsifiable. Sure, there may be something to this, it may even be the case that these technologies exist. But how is that relevant to "the US has been overthrown or it hasn't been"? We have corporate and alternative media that give inaccurate descriptions, for reasons that are obvious and some that are beyond your understanding. So what? It's no solution to believe everything the lunatic fringe is telling you, even if some of them happen to have decent IQs. Frankly, I would want to disarm the population as well if I had to import literal Somalis in order to show collateral to my lender.

The threat was never Russia. It's always been MIC theater. This is no revelation, so don't wag your fucking finger at me. The enemy of nature is within, certainly, but that too has always been the case. Man's order is not nature's or God's.

Revealed: 'Fearless' priest saved priceless relics from burning Notre-Dame
That guy is a badass. He spent 7 years as a chaplain in the armed forces and saw a firefight. Was there in response to the Paris terror attacks. Now he's a chaplain for a fire brigade and went in with them.

A guy who was uniquely both a priest and a (quasi) firefighter was the perfect man for the job of identifying and handling religious relics in a fire to save them while staying safe himself. He had the perfect set of skills, was there at the right time, and had the courage to face the danger. If this was the plot of a movie, it would seem like a ridiculous fiction.

It reminds me of that story of a dude having a heart attack on a plane that was filled with cardiologists heading to a conference.

Notre Dame fire fund hits 300 million euros and rising as second billionaire Bernard Arnault offers to pay 200m

For those who don’t know, Bernard Arnault is the chairman and CEO of LVMH - LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE AND Christine Dior. His company owns and controls Brands such as Dior, Moet Hennessy, Givenchy, TAG Hauer and Louis Vuitton. As of now his net worth is $91.3 Billion, largely comes from his ownership of both companies (Dior and LVMH) as well as his extensive art collections.

The other billionaire, Francois-Henri Pinault, is the owner of Groupe Artémis, which also owns Kering. Kering controls Brands like Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga; and Groupe Artemis owns the Auction House Christie’s. His estimated net worth is $30.7 Billion and he also married Mexican-American Actress Salma Hayek in 2009.

It’s interesting (but not surprised) to see that the richest person In France and in Europe comes from the fashion and luxury goods industry.
