I will clarify. Anything that allows the importation of foreign labour in order to keep pay and political power down with the indigenous deserves all the scorn it gets. I personally don't give a fuck about "muh free trade" and would much prefer a splendid isolation and protectionist UK tbh.

I think WW2 was going to happen even if we didn't go to war over Poland, it's likely Hitler would've gone after Alsace-Lorraine next because muh clay which would've started WW2 anyway. Granted we could've supported him against Stalin and in exchange for a promise that he wouldn't invade France, but then again he wasn't the greatest at keeping promises so that might've been a bad idea.
