So what's the problem with PSP? It has no network connectivity and cannot access the PC's resources unless guest OS has a program that enables that.
Furthermore, it can be disabled with the latest BIOS versions (albeit you need a new CPU and motherboard for this.)
PSP is not the same thing as Intel's ME and is by far less dangerous and safer.

So essentially, they could disable the PSP, and if so, potentially get coreboot, but there would be other blobs they'd have to work out.

I wouldn't be so sure. Again, those vulnerabilities are exactly that: "fucking nothing", when it comes to actually being a security threat, but maybe they could be used to liberate the motherboard of the PSP

Pretty much same here. I would prefer libreboot, but if that's too limiting i'll take coreboot + ME/PSP disabled. I'd like an anti-CIAnigger laptop, but I don't like the idea of being limited to used Thinkpads from Ebay and whatnot. That doesn't send the market a message as much as something like Purism.

Considering that it appears that you can flash the bios from what this appears to be it might be a way in.
I wouldn't be suprisied if AMD fucked up the code more. The more they add to trustzone the easier it is to break.
