What the fuck is going on in this thread?
I have no problems with a Grace Hopper or respectable female programmer, but I certainly have problems with propaganda sourced from the intent of increasing the pool of cheap programmers. That and feminism has poisoned the well- it's hard to tell a woman wants to program by her own free will or was convinced hard enough by propaganda to do so.
Has disproportionately placed attention on women, and done it's share of both hurting and "helping". It is this very attitude that is causing "women can't program" perception by highlighting or promoting amateur works.
If you guys want to naturally select for high IQ women with more rational thinking, synapses, etc, be my guest. I'd love to see that happen too.
