Well, that's outdated. In one of the 2.3.1 releases he fucked up 8ch posting and the issue persisted to the current version which is 3.0.1. So, clover is broken.

Been on 4ch for 5 years and only now decided to check out 8ch. Not a huge fan of user created boards since I feel like it fragments the community greatly, but I'll try to find some nice boards to settle into.

It definitely has its pros and cons, though user created boards tend to be something of a sacred cow to 8ch. Any tine there has been drama and threats of leaving, the "need" user created boards pop up. It does create some neat subcultures though, like /bane/. Religious communities also get their own boards, like Zig Forums and /islam/. It's more just something to get used to. I've found it doesn't usually fragment communities as much as it just creates dead boards that someone used as a response to controversial moderation for all of about a week until they realized that traffic is nice.

The fundamental principal isn't executed well at all. Zig Forums would be whopping 4chan's ass right now if we just had fewer fucking boards. Boards should automatically expire again, and board ownership should expire much faster
