Five actually, I use sam and acme on 9front.

No one that claims to use 9front actually uses it because its such a shit system.

You're half right, I run it on one of my home servers for the novelty.

You are clearly not the target audience

No one is. No one actually uses it.

I use it. Its pretty comfy for when you just want to sit around programming.

Two years ago I was running dwm with custom patches or EXWM or i3 on top of a Guix hybrid, and zsh in urxvt or st or maybe eshell instead.
I'm more productive now.

Attached: table.png (1056x816, 131.62K)

How does this improve your productivity?

I have to ask the same question - a productive DE/WM (to me) is something that stays out of your way - and I can't say that GNOME does that.

Of what

It does what I want, and it comes with the features I want.
I no longer need to set up redshift, xbindkeys, setxkbmap, feh/xsetroot, scrot, dmenu, etcetera, because all the functionality I got from that is built into GNOME and wrapped in a thoughtful interface.
I do use the tweak tool to turn the dash into a dock, get the system tray back, add minimize and maximize buttons, and a few other things. But after that, most things I want to do are one click or keypress away. I raise or lower windows, switch to programs or start them, switch workspaces, all with less mental load than a tiling WM ever required and with less ricing invested.
The only thing I really miss is i3/Haiku-style tabbed windows. Those are great.

xmonad is the only tiling wm other than stumpwm i can stand.

also nice job on not being retarded and using slackware

Happy to see that some use stumpwm. Too bad there isn't a lot of "rice" resources. But it's not like this WM is meant to real Zig Forums people who do things themselves, not just copypasting shit.

How many autism points?

The image viewer looks like fbi. But fbi is for framebuffer only. What is it actually?

sxiv

not bad

Looks like sxiv with a custom bar format.

This is the pinnacle of autism. Screenshot if you don't mind?
Does imagemagic provide good enough functionality for you to edit that picture?

Not the pinnacle. Switch cmus with aplay + shell scripts and video by ffplay and then you have autismo mastery.m

No, the pinnacle of autism is TempleOS. :^)

You'll have to wait until I process the negatives :^)

I'm pretty sure you can use fbgrab. Failing that, just use gpm and select the entire text, then paste it into a file, and then convert it into a PNG with some imagemagick wizardry. I haven't actually done any of this before, but I'm pretty sure it's possible in some way.

Among the ones using qutebrowser, can someone show me the interface for the per domain settings? Is it as powerful as umatrix?

Attached: chart.png (1056x816, 246.99K)

Just remove javascript entirely, and use another browser if you truly need javascript. Jail everything.

Use hosts file level of blocking too. So you don't need this shitty ass matrix, nor requestpoliticy/noscript.

I already firejail firefox. The problem isn't onl javascrpt, though. Blocking css, images and other bullshit coming from jewgle is important too.

This works, but is a little bit cumbersome, to be honest. And sometimes, you want to block only specific requests, not entire domains.

Hosts files don't allow the blocking of specific types of files. Noscript is better.

uMatrix is much nicer than Noscript in that regard.

I thought I was in /g/ for a second there

This thread seems more appropiate than the general questions one.
Is there any taskbar which doesn't depend on GTK, QT or any other shit besides Xlib? I'm currently using tint2, which is the only package that depends on gtk2 on my computer and it triggers me, specially after finally migrating from Thunderbird to mpop+mutt.

xdotool search --onlyvisible --name '.*' getwindowname '%@' | awk NF

Lemonbar. You'll have to do the scripting yourself though (which is the best part).

Exactly what I needed. Now my autism can be put to rest.

I see that a lot of people have switched to st from rxvt-unicode. I'm still using the latter. Is st truly superior? I don't find comparison online between the two.

Moreover, and that's even a bigger issue for me, I actually never switched from bash. And I see that a lot of you guys, use zsh, mksh, dash etc... What would you advice? They all seem to add a lot of feature, and I have an hard time getting the differences.

Look at the arch/gentoo wikis to get an idea about shell features.
