The biggest killer is cancer. The worst diseases in term of money are chronic diseases. Yet they can't cure it. The truth is that chronic disease is the best for big pharma. Do you know how much someone having cancer is worth? More than 120.000 euros (for 18 months of treatment). Chronic disease is with vaccines and over use of medicament why Big Pharma is the second biggest industry after computing in the world.

Steam is accepted because "it just works" and I pay $2 for a game I want to play and have it ready to go in 10 minutes at most. Steams DRM isn't getting in the way of anything like Origin or Uplay does. It "just works" and that means people are willing to accept it.

Guitar exists since very long time, so I don't understand why you're talking about that. The current evolution of music is from my point of view, incredibly chaotic (post rock for example). It represents the current monstrous existential crisis, and the "true state" of our world, right now. So I don't know how I should judge that.
