Tor and imageboards

So, this is what I have:
I develop an imageboard engine that a few sites use. Since imageboards use ips to moderate users and tor users can't be moderated like that, I implemented separate restrictions that can be enabled. Tor users can be prohibited from posting files, from posting at all or they can be allowed to post if they solve captchas every now and then that gives them a cookie to be used for a few posts until a new one has to be obtained.

However, is not rare that people abuse sites that allow tor users to post files, causing file posting from tor to not be enabled often. So I thought of something: allowing tor users to create an optional account that when used, would associate their posts with their account, allowing mods to ban them. Not only that, but using these accounts would allow them to post without the restrictions set in place for tor users. This system would be optional and wouldn't replace the regular actually anonymous tor posting.

So the question is: how many people would actually trust the site in exchange for those additional posting privileges? Would it be enough to justify implementing and maintaining said feature?

No, that defeats the whole purpose of anonymity.
If anything can be traced back through some niggerlishious measure like a fucking forum account botnet it's not true freedom, not to mention the possible cross-referencing by sophisticated botnets thanks to all the additional metadata present on the server.
One might slightly mitigate it by only having a very limited posting history cache, but then you'd have to put a time limit on repeated posting of files to prevent spam during moderator downtime so it's all shit.

Why do you hate Tor?

I don't, actually and I also wasn't in favor of the idea of accounts because I know they go against the point of tor. I am just reflecting on a compromise surrounding a suggestion from a user.

So why not just allow Tor users to post files?

Shitloads of CP.

Turns out the most active crowd on any anonymous service is the pedos. They're aggressive in how active they are and how much they spam their shit every where. Tox and Tor both suffer from this problem and it's not one easily solved.

Forget accounts. Let admins decide how many posts a cookie lasts for and if they want to allow file uploads. Give all the power to the admins and then just walk away.

Hell yea ! ;)

Does that actually happen? How much is shitloads?

From what I could infer from what a guy that uses my software had to deal with, I can imagine a dozen or so every single day at least.
