most widescreens are trash and have terrible viewing angles top-down so manufacturers decided to only extend left-right till the end times and get away with making low height cheap shiny lcd sheets with slow as fuck response time and cheap PWM flickering backlight controller.

That's misleading and inane user. I remember the NSA leaks which confirms what that user said about display signals leaking out if the cable isn't noise-suppressed. Sadly most cables these days do not have that dangling 'magnet' thing to suppress outgoing-incoming signal-noise and it is illegal for manufacturers to sell them due to the revised FCC standard.
