Adobe CC 2019 apps no longer use amtlib.dll, and offline activation disabled
CC 2019 just got released (via Creative Cloud application), and bad news for those who wanted to use the amtlib.dll crack method and have the latest version. Adobe has removed that file and completely disabled offline activation methods.
For those of you that don't know how Adobe Products work. You can basically download the latest version of their software on their website. Then using painter's amtemu you can crack it. You can even download their autoupdater and keep your pirated version up to date. But looks like this method wont work anymore. So if you use pirated versions of adobe products, don't update them until we have a new crack
I'm not saying GIMP is not usable, I'm saying they explicitly keep telling people to stop calling it a Photoshop competitor
stop whining and start Wining. CS6 is all I'll ever need
Grayson Nelson
Why are you even here? Install OpenBSD and just use gimp.
Robert Miller
Affinity Photo is the way to go.
Liam Kelly
I remember using a cracked version of Adobe Audition 3.0 like 10 years ago. That became CC, right? I loved Audition, but I use FL Studio now. Of all the DAW I've tried, FL is easily the best. Feels good buying software now and not being a retarded skid who gets pwned.
Levi Ward
Just get in the Libre drawfag thread
Adam Taylor
Just use the last version that wasn't integrated with adobe botnet. CS6 NLVE can be done with other software better.
It doesn't have magnet lasso. I use krita for most things now.
Landon Morris
ha
Jacob Green
A few Adobe software still do not work smoothly in Wine.
Austin Davis
I can assure you m8 that my firewall screeched at cs6, fortunately I migrated to gimp a few years now, kinda hard to work without CMYK but it's feasible.
Jordan Richardson
you commies are so stupid
Ethan Reed
Recent Photoshop patch notes depress me because they're fixing some of the problems Photoshop has/had for a long time. They're some of the things that FOSS image editors had advantage in, for example by having a color wheel. And that's on top of other neat features/enhancements that make it a better program to use.
Meanwhile Gimp and Krita are busy fixing bugs and focusing on stupid shit like animation features instead of making the image editing part and overall experience of using the program better.
Jacob Howard
Look at these pathetic faggots. Why are you butt fuckers even here? You should be on Reddit.
Chase Turner
I think you stupid adobe fags understand something different when you think of the lasso tool. If you wish to draw a path, use the path tool. You can then use that path for the effects you do with the lasso tool in photoshop. See? Just a different approach.
Charles Robinson
this
I think they heavily increased compatibility in GIMP 2.10. When was the last time, you used it? Even the stupid color groups are implemented.
You just have to get used to the different workflow.
I also wish to remind all faggots to turn on single window mode.
Dominic Watson
You mean used to clicking/typing 4 times more to do the same thing (example: drawing basic geometric shapes like rectangles), clicking/typing in cases where you shouldn't have to at all (example: pasting a layer, layer size/channels), fighting against the retarded anti-intuitive behavior (example: text layer size resets if you change it's size too little), and then doing it all over and over when you want to do tweaks because there was barely any support for non-destructive editing.
Wyatt Parker
You can always try the Affinity programs. Still proprietary but cheap and well regarded.
Jacob King
Sad!
David Cruz
Can you still edit the application xml to stay in trail forever?
Juan Davis
Kill youself idiot. GIMP is not comparable to PS.
Connor Rogers
stick to cs5 like everyone with a functioning brain
Carter Scott
SAD but (semi, it's a mixed bag) true
It's the little things that get you about gimp such as the fact the pencil tool is still can't use brushes with even widths or heights (And yes, you can use the clipboard brush tool for this but it's clearly not designed for this and jitters like it's not had it's ritalin. They really need to sort out placing the cursor centre inbetween pixels for this sort of stuff) Also the fact that everything EXCEPT THE FUCKING MOVE TOOL will auto create a floating layer for selections meaning countless unneeded toolbar clicks. Also the color ramps for indexed images are fucked in the head and seem to stray towards magenta or black. Here I am using the nes pallette in pic related to demonstrate what's wrong.
The animation features they mentioned will probably be cool but the last commit to that branch was over a year ago
It's a raster program retard. And masking is supported, retard. Make a rectangle selection, switch to the bucket tool, click on the selection, done You rarely need that anyway, so instead of cluttering the ui, you just draw your fucking rectangle manually. Seriously no one needs a god damn direct draw tool for primitive shapes in a raster graphics editor.
I never claimed that faggot. Photoshop has support for vector shit, which you don't even need because the image won't care how it was produced. Now kys shill.
Like when? It doesn't even support apng without a plugin. Can't remember GIMP getting new animation features lately. kys
Kayden Bailey
They chose to make it a raster program, retard, and could just as easily choose to add vectors and whatever other non-destructive editing they want. Until they do it makes for a shittier still photoshop clone
Do you not understand why people want nondestructive editing, or are you just being obtuse? I've only ever used gimp for one-off color corrections and crops, but I've used ps for long term, multi-person projects. In this context, you want to be able to make a change one day, and reverse the change days later, without having to destroy your work in between. History, as far back as it may be kept, doesn't help with this because it only allows undoing all the changes in between. What you want is comparable to a diff in programming, and producing it requires the scale and power of a VCS, not some fiddly editor with a _backup dir.
Ethan Foster
Okay, stop this faggotry and make a clean list of features you wish to have in Gimp that would make you able to drop your proprietary shit.
Cooper Taylor
...
Nolan Campbell
In regards to Photoshop and other Adobe image editors, just pirate CS6 or prior CC versions. In regards to video editing, well I guess Premiere CC 2015 is a decent editor.
OK, but there's still no alternative to Premiere.
They made it a pain in the ass to find on their site. Honestly don't know why they don't just offer older versions for free. Everything up to CS6 should be legit free at this point.
Adrian Williams
Does anyone care? I don't think anyone cares. Does anyone care? I don't think anyone cares.
Isaac Jenkins
Haha, capitalist, you deserve that. Go ahead, buy the alternative software. There is none professionally axcepted?. Better bend over then.
Austin Watson
Gimpfags don't even know what non-destructive editing means.
You can also fill the rectangle pixel by pixel using the pencil tool! That means Gimp CAN do it and you can't complain about it!
Count how many separate tools Gimp has for brushes. I'll wait. Also instead of making excuses, Photoshop lets you completely configure which tools appear in which positions and which ones are grouped together in the tool list.
What you mean is called mask. I know Photoshop contains masking for paths. GIMP does not. GIMP is a raster graphics program. The closest thing to vector stuff it has is paths which exist to be rasterized.
TOP KEK They're not trying to be a PS clone! PS users aren't able to use it anyway. R U HAPPY NOW????????
KDEnlive Sony Vegas or literally anything else. I installed Premiere and other Adobe shit once. You needed multiple adobe programs and a webm addon or you weren't even able to render that shit into a webm.
Nolan Adams
Btw Inkscape does your "nondestructive editing" just fine because it's a vector program. So just open your raster graphic in inkscape, do your "nondestructive editing" and export it into a png when you're done.
Wyatt Peterson
Are you for real? Kill yourself my dude, vector graphics are incredibly useful because they are trivial to modify without losing any quality.
Bentley Russell
fuck off with this "nondestructive means vectors" meme. The majority of nondestructive ops work on rasters as well. One example is adjustment layers. another is clipping masks. inkscape is an ai clone, it cannot even pretend to replace ps.
Asher Edwards
Just so we can stop this shit meme I will explain it to you and anyone else who might be confused.
Non-destructive editing means being able to do transformations and adjustments to layers without affecting the layer data. In Photoshop you can group any number of layers into a "smart object", you can scale and rotate and warp it all day but you can still revert it and upscale it later without losing quality, or open the it in another window and edit it's original contents. Krita has something similar in the form of transform layers, but they're really buggy and shit. There's also file layers which let you use krita documents, but they're slow to use since you have to manually and separately fiddle with the file.
There's also adjustment layers which mentioned, even Krita has them despite supposedly not being for "image manipulation". Adjustment layers render filters and color adjustments onto other layers without actually affecting the layer itself, so you can tweak it later or remove it if you change your mind.
Clipping masks and transparency masks are so fundamental that I didn't even consider the possibility of not having one of them. A clipping mask will blend the pixels from 2 layers with each other without merging them. Interestingly enough Krita is better than Photoshop in this regard, since you can nest layer groups and their effects indefinitely, while Photoshop only has 1 level of clipping unless it was changed since I last checked.
Josiah Bennett
I looked around a little and it seems like gimp does have clipping masks, it's just very obtuse like most things in Gimp. You have to put the layers in a group, right click, go to "composite mode" and select "clip to backdrop".
Jordan Gonzalez
Nobody needs anything better than Adobe CS6 Master Collection. Adobe kindly provides the installation files for you here, no log-in walls: helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/cs6-product-downloads.html Then go hunting for xf-mccs6.exe with SHA256: AC2D47DC2D33E6123DA1F3AB00FEA3A1659CE0F47266CC9AB004FA4B811F3B21 (I've had this activator for nearly a decade and zero ill effects. You can run it in virtuo if paranoid, as it does not modify runtime executables to activate. Note: block Adobe activation servers OR set your egress firewall to white list only. When you generate a serial DO NOT close the keygen or play around hitting generate while installing until AFTER you have performed the phone activation process. The keygen requires your current serial to be in box #1 when you perform activation, and you cannot modify/paste-into box #1.)
Hunter Cox
This thread is proof GIMP+Krita+Inkscape fags are clueless or, more likely, highly partisan. Adobe CS6 Master Collection was made around 2010 and still blows the pants off those three plus the other (((FOSS alternatives))). Everything works inter-application in CS6 (Illustrator objects in Photoshop or After Effects), unlike in Inkscape + GIMP.
Behold the glory of Adobe CS6 meme making, and I'm but an amateur at the suite!
you all act like photoshop is the only product adobe offers. I need premiere and after effects.
Also Affinity is nice and all, but you have to crack that shit too. It's not like it's open source or anything.
Kayden Gomez
That's a huge plus for their products. You can create something in After Effects and port it right into Premiere.
Levi Jenkins
I spend the whole day failing in Gimp what I could do in one hour using Photoshop not even trying. Also Krita use a fuckload of ram, 8gb is clearly not enough. Is there really something linux suck at is graphic design.
Landon Gutierrez
It is only 55€, once, you cheapskate.
Logan Sullivan
It's not me it's the machine!
Luke Price
You can buy it for me then if it's ONLY 55 pounds.
Parker Parker
It's buy once for a lifetime of updates versus two months of (((subscription)))
Just buy it so you don't need to pirate it.
Jaxon Martin
Your post is proof that you still don't know about adobe adding gimp code since 2006 in adobe products.
I am not paying for fucking software UNLESS I am getting a lot out of it. This is just a hobby, I am not making money off of it so I am not going to pay for it either.
Leo Jackson
You don't make money out of things you buy for other hobbies either.
Liam Taylor
How much do you get paid per post?
Jose Bailey
All those things you are describing are vector operations and as I stated. While PS uses a mixture of vector and raster operations GIMP only does raster operations. I think those have been implemented for compatibility with psd files. Are also in GIMP.
Inkscape is neither comparable to PS nor Illustrator. It's a pretty unstable SVG editor that crashes all the time when you use tools that haven't been properly implemented.
Parker Collins
that's why I said "getting a lot out of it". It either has to return money or be fun as fuck. Like certain games can be played over and over again. If I pay 10 bucks for a game and play it for 2k hours I got my money's worth fun back. A $59 game played for 100 hours is not worth it. Expensive headphones are worth it because good audio is golden. But software can go eat dick.
Landon Moore
I find you tool zealots fascinating, because I can do all the shit you do using crayons and a piece of paper. Enjoy your cult of the tools. It doesn't give you much room for talking about the creative process with your peers though, when all you can talk about is your super cool tool and how other tools suck. How does it feel like being a humanoid shaped advertising?
we could smell your plebbit miles away. stay there

It's in C:\Program Files\Adobe\ (or Program Files (x86) if you are on a 32-bit system). For example, to activate Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018, you'd look in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. Note that for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat. Note that the location varies between apps and you may have to search in the folders yourself. Select the file and click Open. >>pastebin.com/raw/Mpm5Jd6m Pretty fucking involved. Many of these ("close the window") are excessive, but still a lot of steps. >i.imgur.com/7tPGxlR.png This DRM will probably be very effective. I was reading one of these apple jailbreakers on
hn[/spoiiler] basically saying how hes completely given up, and jailbreaking is now completely impossible. Awaiting the crackers admitting the same thing for adobe products.
Oliver Stewart
Why not just install the version before these changes? It's not like they add anything meaningful anyway, the current version of photoshop and illustrator are hardly different from even something as old as CS6, in fact there's several ways in which they're worse because it seems Adobe makes webdev interns replace useful features with bloated hipster shit now.
Gavin Bailey
who is this (((we))) you're talking about?
Hudson Carter
Maybe someone should develop for adobe a patch under mit with PGP signature that way the DRM is unbreakable.
Reminder that most of CC 2019 requires Botnet 10 >1607 and/or macOS Sierra. Wine has good chances still.
Owen Kelly
I'm still just using an older "portable" version with no issues.
Nicholas Rogers
Is there any free software raw denoising method that can compete with, at least, in-camera denoisers? It's so fucking sad when you simply can't match the quality of your in-camera JPEG file with any free raw development software.
