The only "useless" office job we have is the claims officer. She processes returned and damaged merchandise to get written off or refunded or insured as a form of loss prevention. Last year she saved 10,000$ store wide on top of her duties

We have a compliance associate to make sure we're following things legally and by process. She was our UPC associate for a while but got bumped up, but most days she acts as on floor and backroom support and she's actually pretty nice.

We also have an HR person. I know, >HR, but every business needs someone to recruit people and handle tax and paystub stuff and act as a go between for incidents between employees. She also handles fundraising for events and charities but a good chunk of time clock stuff and vacation requests were deferred to individuals instead of her

Wherever I worked the easy positions were taken up by women.

I worked a lot of shit jobs in the past because I went to a ghetto tier school and had to get the hell out of there before I get stabbed by some dindu. No GEDs where I'm from, just night school which takes forever and a half.

Although it seems counter intuitive, I think trying to get a career in the state sector is still and will continue to be the best route. You have to fight for a good deal though and don't eat shit for the promise of something that will never come.

What you may also notice is that young women are generally doing better than young men. I think this is partly because the ones who get good qualifications don't go into STEM but into finance and business instead.

In summary, if you want to succeed these days you've got to get on a gravy train and out-sociopath everyone around you.

You could go into something like teaching, could be a good CV reset or (despite the debt) do a masters and then an internship with your college/university to reset your CV.

Most likely you might have to accept doing a dead end clerical job through an agency (short term contracts). However, I don't think these jobs are as bad as people make them out to be because everybody earns shit money now anyway.

This is probably my biggest problem and the problem I identified first. Since then, I've been trying to maybe not fix it (psychology is tricky as hell) but subdue it or learn to live with it, by practicing sports several times per week.

The results have been a mixed bag. On the one hand I got fitter and everything, on the other hand the mental pressure so to speak got stronger (since more time has passed, logically), while my new fitness has helped my cope better with the increasing mental pressure. It's a pretty weird situation I guess. Like a vicious circle with 3 "factors" so to speak.
