Another thing to get is alcohol and construction material. Alcohol is for trading, not drinking. And construction material is for your house.
Get your car fixed and your health taken care of before SHTF.

1. I'm pretty sure any little backwater a good distance from major cities should work nicely. I'm from Maine and will be riding out whatever happens there. We'll got forgotten about instantly and the human vermin in Boston and New Yawk are gonna drift south rather than north when the lights go out.
2. Honestly a welder/some sort of vehicle mechanic would be huge. When rebel/insurgent armies transition from foot-based militia to something more resembling a proper military, they're going to need vehicles, weapons, etc. Rolling around in some vietnam-era gun trucks emblazoned with swastikas
3. There's far better guides out there than I can put in here, but if you're expecting to barter or trade supplies, loot the absolute hell of the cartons of cigarettes from the nearby gas stations and store them. A month goes by and those will be worth their weight in gold to smokers.

Thank you, good points. I'm in Alaska. Water is not so much a problem. Cold is obviously a problem, it ruins everything. Food could easily be a problem, as most of what Alaskans eat is imported. Demographics are sketchy. The natives are already pretty hostile, and I don't like most of those ugly fucks either. Small towns are pretty nice, though. Getting into a nice community would probably be the best bet for this state. Gotta bring a valuable skill, though.
Appreciate it. I do work on my own vehicles already. Welding would be a good skill. In the event the nothing happens in my lifetime, though, I'd hate to have spent my life welding or fixing cars. Definitely appreciate more suggestions on the skill/profession front.

Forgot about Alaska.
If the central government collapsed, the governor would declare martial law and basically act as an autonomous state. Assuming the collapse was not global in nature, trade would continue with Russia & China and Alaska would end up fighting piracy coming from California. You'd become like Venice.
The good thing would be that your non-White problem wouldn't be nearly so bad. The downside, as you say is your population and food imports.
However since the important parts of Alaska are homogeneous, I think you'll be alright in the long term.
I hope that whoever manages to seize power in Alaska is pro-White and anti-jew.
