It really isn't it is covered by a desert at the bottom meaning an invasion from China is unlikely. Even then Mongolia and China are sort of allies anyway so it really won't come to much you know if there wasn't also a desert near that region. As for Russia transporting large amounts of supplies from your main area in Europe to Mongolia which is near the end of Asia would be pretty stupid and costly.
