Back in the 90's I worked briefly at a youth detention center. It was in this big green park with broad lawns and a heavily wooded perimeter. There were these one storybarrack buildings for the least dangerous offenders and a small 3 story fortress building for the real evil ones. In the middle of the park close to the barraks was the school, a low flat building that was sunk into a depression in the ground and surrounded by scattered big boulders so you could get on a boulder and easily climb onto the roof. In the summer time the child psychologists that acted as barrack guards couldn't restrain the evil brats from prying open a window and going out to wander in the very dark park all night long. The psychologists were all utterly demoralized with ashen grey faces with a sad cynical defeated look in their eyes. $60k a year couldn't compensate them for the shit lives they lived. One night the kids broke out of their barrack and took a mattress with them as they crawled out the window. They could be quite industrious if they were engaged in some kind of criminal activity, otherwise, not so much.
They toted the mattess with them and put it on the roof of the school where they all hunkered down to enjoy the summer night. There was a redhead broad there, about 5'8", sort of reminded me of Lucile Ball. She always wore this cheap denim pants suit with high heeled knee high boots. She was grade 8 or 9 tops.
So they all took turns gang banging her up on the roof…like 30 guys.
So the next morning her parents were summoned to come and collect their dirty daughter and take her away.
About 4 days later I was walking past the school building was it was raining pretty hard and there she was sitting on the edge of the roof smoking, chewing bubble gum and kicking her heels.
I stopped and asked her if she'd been discharged. She said yes. So then I asked her what she was doing there. She said she was waiting around for some of her "friends" to show up. And now that I think about it she was the only female out of over 150 male inmates in that place. Odd…
I told her to go away and not come back. She shrugged nonchalantly and said "OK" and left. I think she must have taken an hour long bus ride to get there from her parents' home.
