Ofc flat removing them in the first place would be the best outcome but what's the real probability of that today? At least forcing them to be sterilized is a step generally in the right direction. Given that reality, then what would you suggest user, not sterilizing them? At least it effectively guarantees they can't reproduce by normal means.
