That hurts us considerably. Means you can have the navy bring in troops via submarine and not notice until it's too late. Not to mention we'd be attacked via heavy naval weaponry. By being inland and in mountainous areas, aquatic and land based attacks are much harder… leaving air attacks as the only option. And having half the year with intense weather means helicopters aren't an option either.
