Imagine a grand simple graph of society’s inclusiveness. Imagine that every single person on the planet had an inclusion height. Down at zero there’s this competent and resilient person who manages to be nondescript, clever, and harmless all at the same time. No sane society excludes that person. Up at infinity there’s an eldritch horror from beyond our dimensions of reality who no sane society includes. The rest of us are all between zero and infinity.
Where are you, between zero and infinity? Think not of how you’re known, but of who you truly are. Imagine someone just like you, but incapable of effectively concealing their true nature. Everyone has an obligation to protect that person. Protect the person who is just like you, but their nature can’t be concealed. In order to protect that person, make sure society is inclusive enough to tolerate them.
Do that, and society will always be tolerant enough to tolerate you.
And for the love of all conceivable loves, step back your true nature if your true nature is violent, because protecting the violent takes a ten ton terror. Rehabilitate that shit.
