It is my humble opinion that the oldest group of jews in North America (Montreal jews) learned to integrate and become Crypto-Quebecois by the end of the war.
Recall that at the time, Quebec was in support of Vichy France, and Lionel Groulx himself was involved in saving the Vichy officials from peresecution.
And yet by the 60s, the required infrastructure of cryptojews were in positions of power such that they were able to pull off the most magnificent coup of all history: The Quiet Revolution. With the severing of Quebecois from their own culture under the guise of strengthening them, the Liberal goverment set out to destroy all of the beautiful and significant Quebec history, replacing it with the cultural marxism we're accustomed to.
Walk down Berri Uqam sometime to watch the fall of the great French people. It is saddening. I hope the future brings something better. The trade of Welsh, Irish, English and Scottish for 3rd worlders and French colonial Arabs was not worth it.

I doubt very much that it's in the rural areas. In fact, I strongly believe that rural areas of all first world nations are the last bastion of hope. Here's why I don't believe they've hit the smalltowns and farmers:
1. The effective result of the QR was the ostracising of rural for urban. In fact, I remember being a kid in school being brainwashed about La Grande Noirceur and corruption in Duplessis' policies. Looking at it now, it seems like his crime was favoring rural over urban. I doubt that would have happened if the cryptos existed there.
2. Rural areas in general are highly conservative, ethnically homogeneous, and do not possess the popular division required for D&C. It would have been a lot more difficult to infiltrate for them.
However, if the schools have been conpromised (and oh how they were), then I fear to think what influence they may have had over the rural population and the newer generations. As I mentioned before, I'm a city immigrant, and while I've had cordial relations with rural folk, I'm far from comfortable discussing my politics with them.
I'd be thrilled to keep speaking on this topic. I would offer to help as well, but I am not sure how much you would trust a man of another race. Just remember not all immigrants are entitled liberal shits. Some of us want to go back to our homes and we're doing everything we can to do so. I am being up front about this fact only because I have no intention of misleading you. I don't believe in the superiority of the United Kingdom and French descent Canadians, but I do believe in their sanctity, and know that this is not my soil. I hope things work out for both our nations.

I think you're going to have to first narrow down where the breech occurred. Then ask if Chinese Communist, Turk, Israeli, Pakistani agent questions. Theft and resale, as well as the espionage angle, possibility exists, which may be how it was detected (at sale / darknet market snare).
Also, you're going to have to narrow down which side of currency this is on. Personal ($), Business ($$), Private/Investment ($$$), or Insurance ($$$$). I suppose it depends on how DG lays out its interfaces. It could just be a access method breech (the darknet market angle), or it could be a private breech (the espionage angle, or tax/law/offshore reporting). News releases suggest the main/common-public-known interface, which for DG, appears personal-business.
