It's probably one of literally thousands of books containing a selection of important Marx/Engels articles, books or book chapters. There's probably no point in wondering which specific one it is, because since it's German it could be an endless amount of State or private-issued selection, and the cover doesn't help.

I was wondering if there was a single book or a few books that contained the notable works of a notable socialist like Lenin, Marx, or Engels. It probably couldn't contain all of Marx or Lenin works, but it could possibly have the most important ones. Capital could be left out, as it is already quite large. Basically just a collection of essays and (small) works combined together. Stupid question, I shouldn't have asked.

Marx and Engels wrote a shit ton of material, with the first volume of Capital being a big ass book on its own. The Marx/Engels Collected Works (MECW) contain dozens of volumes most of which you will not find relevant anyway (like mail correspondences).
