burgers are hopeless, they will literally never manage anything revolutionary
that picture is kind of heartwarming actually, if it happened of course
What book is that though.
She’s from Germany
germans are basically burgers at this point
Isn't she pleased that the bartender had that book? Maybe they did read it?
without context it seems like jumping to conclusions to believe "damn book" is to say that it's a bad book or that showing it was undesirable. It could equally be saying that it's completely unexpected that the bartender would have Marx and Engels sitting there.
and now i do my research:

oh wait what's this in the replies

do you really think someone would just go on an imageboard and try to stir up insipid anger about something nobody said, for no reason?

Sounds like you are just covering your ass cause you sound like a reactionary
Jesus Zig Forums get your shit together ffs
This is why nothing ever gets done
Literally kill yourself.
The fact that they have a reading group for Jacobin instead of actual books is embarrassing enough
Why is OP making it sound like she was dismissive of Marx and Engels
I bet you 90% of that book club doesn't do anything besides read books. Nothing wrong with books, I'm just saying that's most likely the case. Kys
What is this "Marx Engels" book, Zig Forums? Some sort of completed manuscript?
I think there is some sort of "The Completed Works of V.I. Lenin". Not sure if that's even what I'm talking about Are there any book(s) that contain all of Marx, Engels, (notable socialists in general) (notable) work?
There are the completed works of Lenin but they're like 50 tomes.
Julia please leave and take your democracy with you
>20 read a magazine together
fucking burgers, jesus christ
It's probably one of literally thousands of books containing a selection of important Marx/Engels articles, books or book chapters. There's probably no point in wondering which specific one it is, because since it's German it could be an endless amount of State or private-issued selection, and the cover doesn't help.
What exactly are you asking m8
Looks like Marx & Engels Selected Works.
Judging by her age and overall demeanor, they're probably a bunch of students with tight schedules and ADD trying to figure out a way to read political literature without bandoning it after a few pages. Social validation is a great motivation to get things done, so let them be. In a few years they'll all be liberals laughing at their radical past anyway.
...
I was wondering if there was a single book or a few books that contained the notable works of a notable socialist like Lenin, Marx, or Engels. It probably couldn't contain all of Marx or Lenin works, but it could possibly have the most important ones. Capital could be left out, as it is already quite large. Basically just a collection of essays and (small) works combined together. Stupid question, I shouldn't have asked.
Having a reading group for a fucking magazine is absolutely retarded
True, but I doubt that's the only thing they read
Just find a reading list and get the pdfs of
Marx and Engels wrote a shit ton of material, with the first volume of Capital being a big ass book on its own. The Marx/Engels Collected Works (MECW) contain dozens of volumes most of which you will not find relevant anyway (like mail correspondences).
Bürghers, then
Shit what bar is that.
Underrated.
