Capitalism does not "make everything worse", it makes wealth inequality worse. To very loosely quote marx, if i remember correctly:
Capitalism is more complex than "it is evil and makes everything worse". The concentration of means of production away from feudal holdings and small farmers, into larger entities is necessary for the creation of socialism, according to marx, and capitalism is very good at that.
Also as others said, it is mostly China that has vastly improved. Keep in mind also that while "undernourishment" may be going down, whatever that is defined as (and look up how they defined it, they keep changing it), malnourishment is going up in first world countries. Many children even in european welfare states do not have the ability to eat breakfast or dinner every day, but that is technically not starving.
