Hey, I know this isn't the appropriate place, but I barely use this site and when I do it's leftypol. I'm unemployed, even unemployable, while I had already accepted living a life of poverty I think I should use the opportunities I have, which as of right now are that I have a lot of free time and space, specifically a unused backyard, both a garage and the outdoors almost abandoned full of trash and wild plants, it's a literal waste, people could use it productively! Which is what I intend to do.
I'd like some ideias to make some money with it (like a petit bourgeois) I've thought about growing stuff, plants or fish/octopus etc and sell, but I got 0 experience (but time to learn), and I just don't know if it's even profitable because big companies are better equipped for this, I don't even expect making a lot of money, but just knowing I wouldn't lose any, even a few hundred € per year would be worth it.
Weed illegal here btw. There could be some legal drugs that I could grow/make (maybe some type of shrooms?) but I have no idea who'd want to buy that, irl I don't know anyone interested in such things.

As someone with experience with amateur aquariums (largest I've had is 50 gallon) they can be fucking hard to maintain, and any fish that are going to be profitable you'll need a shit ton of them and have a couple extra tanks for isolation (pregnant fish, new born frys, sick fish quarantine, etc.). Most of the big money is in salt water, which are even worse to take care of than tropical. The only thing I could think of is to breed some very specific and pretty Bettas, but that would probably take years of research to understand the genetics behind their traits and then selecting the right breeders and then breeding dozens of generations. Aquariums are not a get rich quick scheme, and like any other hobby the only way to make money is to out autist the autists. You won't have soccer moms come to your garage and drop $500 on low quality cichlids, you'll get neck beards who've dedicated tens of thousands of dollars to the hobby and will know their shit. I wouldn't even bother.

Imo you'd be better off starting with plants rather than animals. In particular, herbs like horehound could be lucrative - stuff that ends up selling at co-ops. But tomatoes or something could also work. You could also do baked goods - that's a fun one.
But also (and again depending on how much you're starting with) you could invest. Lumpen investors are a real thing - obviously at low level it comes with risks, but educate yourself and you can do alright.
You could also rent the garage out to bands depending where you are and what the acoustics are like. Rehearsal space is often needed.

I forgot the specific name for it, was finding many different betting houses, use software that would look for different values where you could sell in one house for more what you could buy in a different one. You'd make 2%~5% per bet. I made bets with bet365 + a different one each time (Pinnacle, betfair, william hill etc) but bet365 limited my account to 5€ bet's making it not worth it, couldn't find consistent betting houses other than bet365, almost all involved it, so I dropped it, maybe I should take a look again just to see how things changed, but iirc in my country betting became illegal, I can't even enter bet365 site now. When I was in highschool, I earned a couple hundred EUR by reselling school books. I was able to easily buy couple of them for about 10 EUR from graduates, and sell them for 20-25 to school attendees, using on-line basars. You can try it, or something similar. What comes to my mind is that you can offer "free liquidation" of furniture and home appliances, take them, fix them and then resell. Most likely by setting up some posters in town neighbourhoods, bus stops and stuff. This will most likely not earn you enough money to live off, but potentially generate a few hundred EUR for month.

Do not be a janitor at night. As help to a friend I started working at a mall on 3rd shift cleaning it up. It will get to you so fast you'll want to kill yourself after a week. It is so disgustingly Sisyphean. My colleagues were great, I was treated well (still exploited obviously), and it was an "easy job" but it was taxing mentally. I quit after a month and now I'm sitting on $1100 (after upgrading my computer a bit) unsure of what to do with it.

Especially at a shitty mall where the power is on 24/7, there's no recycling, you pick up the same messes every single day, etc. I was told I couldn't recycle on company time because the company itself didn't want it done and I was told I could be fired for it. That was kind of the last nail in the coffin for me, too. As someone that really cares about the environment and went to school for environmental science it killed me. The "RECYCLE" signs on the trash bins are lies too, and that really bothered me.
I still bring my colleagues food I cook sometimes, though.
